Thank you for the vedio I'm going next month with my kids Auckland to LA this was helpful
@@paisime2011 awesome, have a great trip, so glad the video was helpful :-)
I'm loving this holiday of yours. The scenery is so beautiful. Thankyou for sharing your trip with us all.
Thanks so much for following along :-)
good video you came through my village after la guerche de la bretange
Uncle Mike and Aunt Jo, I always love your content! Be safe and enjoy your travels! 🤗❤️
Great watch thx for sharing
@@pallahammer8997 thanks for watching :-)
Great adventure guys, stunning scenery and so much wild life
It’s been so amazing!
It's really a wonderful roadtrip in a wild place, I ❤️
It really is!
We just got back from riding the EV6 in france ourselves and riding it in May was a bit different (cool and had to detour due to flooding a couple times) but still fun to have the memories stimulated by your video. Sorry you had a scary incident there too. Glad it ended up ok. -H
Thanks, glad to hear you had a great time. Seems like forever ago since we were there.
No big deal just another truck stop.
It was exciting to us as we’d never seen a truck stop like it.
Were you in seats 28 Jand K? If so was the locker and bathrooms behind you bothersome?
It wasn't a problem for us, we didn't even notice people going to the bathroom. There aren't so many people in the premium cabin as in economy, so that may be why,
We wish will be there one day
@@user-vh2tw7co7n you will love it :-)
Great clip thanks for sharing 🙏
@@user-vh2tw7co7n you’re welcome!
Hi when you say freedom camping sport does it mean free? Thanks
@@user-vh2tw7co7n yes, free to camp there :-)
Is the road as narrow as it looks when you meet a vehicle coming the other way?
@@michelangelopainters5519 thankfully we didn’t meet anybody but yeah, it’s pretty narrow
Quelle belle région sauvage, des volcans comme en Nouvelle Zélande...
A lot is similar to nz, just on a much larger scale.
Those waterfalls were awesome and the hot pools so nice... Was there anyone else there or did ya have it for yourselves? Idaho is looking pretty awesome
There was just one other couple there, so it was really nice. We were surprised how much there is to see in Idaho. Loved it!
Here in Tennessee and North Carolina we call fire flies “lightning bugs.” LOL! 😃
That sounds like a better name! It’s exactly what they look like!
Those wild flowers with the white flowers that you pointed out in the video is called Rhododendron. The actually have pink flowers as well. They will not grow very well in direct sunlight. They require the canopy of the woods to thrive. They are a native plant in those mountains.
That’s interesting. Thanks for the info.
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the most visited National Park in the United States with over 15 million visitors in a year.
That’s a lot of visitors! Glad we all weren’t there at the same time!
It is a forty-five minute drive to the Great Smoky Mountains from where I live in East Tennessee. I used to work in Gatlinburg. ❤️
Wow, what a great part of the world to live!
I think you know more about Tennessee history than Tennesseans do. Good for you. 👍
Haha, Google is very knowledgeable!
Great vid!
Thanks!
C'est l'Amérique sauvage que j'aime ❤
We loved Durango, if you visit the area again the steam train to Silverton offers really stunning scenery, highly recommended!
I imagine it would be amazing! It was still in winter hours, so wasn't running to Silverton back in April.
Very helpful video, thank you! I’m looking to convert mine but wanted to ask if you get enough power from solar/motor to run the fridge for a few days?
Big wheels moving, keep rolling on.
Sounds like a song?
Desert is awesome looking forward to your guys adventures North
We are quite behind on our videos but it’s been such an amazing trip so far. Absolutely loving it!
I am in the car with you, and enjoy with the landscapes. But I am afraid to be cold in Alaska....please, stay in Moab 😁
Haha, we are an actually starting to enjoy the cold. It reached 16 degrees yesterday and it was hot!
thank you for uploading and sharing your experience on this flight, im going on a 3 and a half week long trip to japan, my first ever big over seas trip so thought id look up what a long haul flight would be like on air new Zealand premium economy. hope you guys had a great trip!
You’re welcome. Have a great trip!
My Mum and Chris went on the Durango- Silvertown railway - they absolutely loved it . It looks great .
It does look cool. It was still off season when we saw it and wasn’t going all the way to Silverton.
You're really good with the flight reviews 😀 I enjoyed the couple you've done on Air NZ Premium Economy. Just curious, when you say that you were upgraded on the day of departure - was that a recognition upgrade from Silver status, or did you place a OneUp upgrade offer that was accepted? I placed a bid to upgrade to Premium Economy on my flight to Bali in 3 days. Here's hoping, lol. But I am booked in Business Premier on the return flight though which will be awesome. Hope you're still enjoying adventures around the States!
Thanks! In this trip we got a recognition upgrade. But we have got one ups before too. We always bid as little as possible! Good luck on your upgrade!
Hi! Avgeek here. I have a question; what date was this flight on? Nice video!
3rd April 2024. Hope it was helpful!
@@NomadLifeKiwi Thank you so much!
Fab vid. Thank you for sharing
You’re welcome, hope you found it useful.
You were so close to our friends in Pagosa Springs!
We thought about going there, but the weather was pretty bad
This has to be one of the most beautiful areas in the US
It is stunning for sure!
Silverton has a famous ultra marathon called the Hard Rock 100 mile, lots of vertical climbing, so cool to be trans planted back into a winter wonderland. that place has such a long winter. those roads would be so scary to drive in the winter, I'd be scared you'd slide off the edge on some ice or something.
Did you do the ultra marathon? Sounds crazy to me! We did meet a guy who is almost 70 and regularly cycles from Durango to silverton! Yeah, I wouldn’t want to drive the road in winter. Or in the opposite direction!
@@NomadLifeKiwi I definitely have not run it, furthest I've done is 100km, this one's 160km. Looks like a cool town, glad you got there
Happy to be with you in Durango and Mesa Verde, I visited these places more than 40 years ago....and I loved the Colorado. Thanks you to remember me this time
Oh wow, I guess not too much has changed.
We sure hope the adventure is going well! It looks great so far!
We are living it so much. We’re in your country now, but nowhere near Vancouver.
@@NomadLifeKiwi woohoo! Don’t get lost! Let us know if you get close to the big City! Enjoy 🇨🇦

Which maori cultural show would u recommend in north island?
We’ve never been to one, so can’t advise. Sorry. Check out Google and the reviews.
You hit the highlights for sure! It is pronounced B -ewe-t, as in beautiful. Also, cairns are commonly used in State and National Parks (not all) as trail markers, especially on rock and desert trials. Some are memorials. Enjoy our magnificent state!
Ah, good to know about the rock piles. Admittedly they did help us find our way. We’d just read on the signs not to move rocks and things so assumed they were man made. Absolutely LOVE Utah!
You should definitely someday visit Canada. There is plenty to see here too.
We’re actually in Canada now and loving it! (Our videos are a bit behind)
Missing those blue skies and wide open spaces!
Haha, so are we. We were hiking in snow the other day!
Encore des paysages exceptionnels. Quelle chance vous avez d'en profiter
Yes, we are so lucky to be able to explore these places!
Aztec "but" hahaha. You might want to ask someone how to pronounce the word butte.
haha, Mike keeps telling me off that I'm pronouncing it wrong.. But in school I learned if it was a double-consonant, then it was pronounced uh, and a single consonant then it would be "you". and it's more fun to say butt!
Thanks for sharing this, you show us how to do it! It has opened up a debate for us, we always book ahead and you tend to book somewhere when you're ready to stop. For us that means a problem will cause time pressures so we tend to build in contingency and cycle less than we would. I'm going to try your approach and see how it goes. Thanks for the inspiration and tips!
We always booked the night ahead if we were going to stay in a hotel. But most of the time they have room for camping, especially in the off-season. In July/August it does get busier, and more expensive too.
That "otter" is a beaver. After almost been extinct in France in the early 20th century, beavers have recolonized 3/5 of French watersheds even though they have to compete with the invasive nutria. There are also lots of otters in France and they are mostly carnivorous eating fish and other aquatic life.
Thanks for posting this. I went to university in NZ from 1999-2002 and crewed a balloon in 2000 at that festival. It still remains one of the coolest experiences of my life. I'd love to return and experience it again. I've been in the US since 2002.
Oh wow, that’s so cool! We’re in the US now, road tripping in our campervan! Love it here!
Desert is beautiful love all those rocks
I absolutely love the desert. Until i see a tarantula or a scorpion, then I’m outta there!
Thanks, guy so wanted a video on a conversion what's required to remove the seats if it effects the seat belt warning lights when seats removed I love the colour I know these are built as people movers etc but i want to keep the load lighter just 2 of us too not cladded with so much stuff. are they heavy on fuel consumption 2.5 to 3.0 engines they look so comfortable too don't forget the fesshhh and chiiips Two clever brains love the use of the dowel jig sliding draws gives me an idea how to tackle this having many basic woodwork tools too. thank you so much
