Those ad-20 titanium jufule clones are fantastic! I have one and i think it is surprisingly well made. I couldn’t suggest it enough!
wish knives are better
Sadly temu when accessed from Australia won't show and folding or fixed blade knives, kind of jealous that you can access and review these😊
Benchmade Bugout is a clone.
you are wrong about the ad15 the actual scorpion lock on the ad15 in super smooth
I am not wrong about the lock on the knife I had in my hand. 🤣
This is actually a knock-off of an original Microtech
I did not know that. Thanks for the comment.
So what was it Ali baba or a different site how do you not know
? Temu is in the title. Most of these are bought from there. The other ones I mention were either bought on Wish or Ali Express. Some I bought years ago and can't remember which ones came from where.
You’re always going to get more value out of a chinese knockoff or clone of a Benchmade than a real Benchmade. If you’re looking for value and getting your money’s worth the clones and knockoffs are always better. That’s what I have found. Benchmades just aren’t worth what they charge. You’re better off buying a Civivi or something like that if you don’t want a clone. If you don’t mind half of your money, going to purchasing a name then go ahead and get the real thing. A lot of these companies just keep raising their prices over the years until it’s just not worth it. If you’re a millionaire then go ahead buy one or better yet spend your money on a really nice car if you’re that rich. If you’re rich, you’re probably not gonna be super into knives since you can afford more luxurious things or you’ll be buying custom knives. If you’re buying those custom knives, then the Benchmades we are talking about here are going to seem like little toys anyway. It’s like a Louis Vuitton bag compared to something like a vanquest or a maxpedition bag. If it’s utility and value you want, you’re never gonna choose the Louis Vuitton bag. That’s for people who don’t know any better. I guarantee you if you put some rocks inside of a Louis Vuitton bag and then you put some rocks inside of a maxpedition bag and you go dragging them behind a car the Louis Vuitton bag is going to tear apart so fast compared to the other one. Now which one is more valuable when you’re considering utility and actual value? If you’re dumb enough to fall for the whole thing about paying for a name or for some company that’s been around longer than some other company and you want to just pay for a name and not real value then go ahead and get something based on a name. Personally, I’m not into that. What makes me smile is when I see some thing online that intrigues me and it’s really reasonably priced and arrives to my house and I open it up and I get it in my hands and I really like it and it didn’t cost that much. Every once in a while, this happens and it pleases me much more than paying a whole lot for something and then getting it in my hands and I’m wondering why I just spent so much money. There are a few bench maids that are reasonably priced. But most of them are way jacked up. I feel the same way about Microtechs as well. Most of them just aren’t worth it.
There's no letter R in the word Benchmade!
if you are talking about the captions or my accent I can't help it. Captions are auto generated.
Nice! 🗡️
The first one, with black handle !!
strictly based on aesthetics or ?
Why not the Parra military 3 Light Weigt. With steel blade ..?! ^^
I have a PM2.
I think i saw an Elementum withva longer blade. Am i wrong ??
I do not have one with a longer blade. You mean they make an XL version?
I just sent Kevin aka The Knife Doctor, some screen shots of the fake Essees, Benchmade, Spyderco etc. That were on Temu. Its a shame.
I just got a fake Spyderco in the mail today. Video will be coming soon. Would not recommend. lol
I owned the full size Benchmade Crooked River, it felt amazing in the hand and was worth every penny (got it on ebay, sent to BM for resharpening and verification of authenticity). Sold it cause I needed the money and also the Benchmade "issues". But as a knife it was really nice.
Clone knives don't give you any representation or comparisons to the real version. I handled a few clone/ imitation knives and they are 100% a COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. And most always your getting a different steel then they advertise. And the steel will be trash and chip and break easy. Also fake knives are VERY DANGEROUS, I've cut myself on a cheap automatic. They will come out automatically alright. So if you are coming across this thinks oh that 1 looks cool, TRUST ME LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING. We all like to save money I GET IT, but at what cost? Also have you have heard you get what you pay for... ya well you definitely will. I rather have 1 decent knife that will last a lifetime plus, then a bunch of junk your embarrassed to use or can't use because it's dangerous or trash.
Great shape on the handle, looks comfy
It's not bad. Quite a bit bulkier than I thought it would be.
I don't understand why people say it is hard to sharpen
Seems I have the same issue with most of my Benchmade knives.
Worst part of clones or copies is you don’t know what steel they are using. It can say s30v or magnacut but in reality it is 440 or aus-8.
Pretty much exactly. That's why I didn't even mention blade steels because we have no idea.
@8:55 "Ok pal" 😂
Good video mate. I review knives on my channel too and have recently reviewed a fake Spyderco Para 3 from AliExpress. I've subscribed to your channel.
Thank you!
Pick up the Miller Brothers knives they’re like $900 and they got the fake ones for like 60 to 80 and those things look cool as shit
That orange and black bench made looks just like the bk esee kA bar super nice. I think they’re only like 50 bucks. It might be called the Escobar?
Hilarious you have to pull open the latch from the inside to get that sheath to open
Hungfu is it own brand and they’re pretty good they don’t tell you the steals M390 but really it’s some stainless steel D2 or something. But they make BK 19 also that our copies but have their brand on it.
Love this video I’ve been checking out these fake knives on team move for the last few weeks and I’ve been waiting for a video like this
Reminds me of Microtech socom elite except the hardware
Someone told me it is a clone of an older Mictrotech.
The Manix LW feels completely different than the G10 Manix so…. Think LW, also less expensive
You're waving the knifes around, making them hard to look at.
I got the gold class full immunity and it’s a great edc.
I bought a real Benchmade Infidel for almost $500 from Blade HQ a few years ago. Junk. Never ever buy another Benchmade. Plus they have lost their minds on pricing. I wouldn't buy Narrows if it was $99😐
The little otf is a Utx 70 clone.
The Automatic Benchmade clone is the Infidel clone.I bought the ad 20.5 tanto in Cpm 3v and i love it. I would check the Flytanium Arcade if you like the shark lock.
That 1st OTF is not a Benchmade. It is a gas station knife with benchmade name put on it . Benchmade hasn’t made any knife looking like it.
The knife your holding at 20:00 and you didn’t know what the model is looks like a “Microtech LUDT Gen 3 1135-10 Stonewash Blade, Black Handle Grip Inlay”
that first benchmade otf looks like garbage at first glance tbh ...
Yes. 🤣
with the right technique you can 1 hand an AD15 and your hand is not even close to the path of the blade
This is a really cool idea for a video. I, too, like to test out the less-expensive variants of a particular design before I decide if the "real deal" is right for me. It's saved me a fair bit of money to boot. (And sometimes you find some real diamonds for cheap!)
It's gonna cost me a lot more. I'm for sure buying some Microtech OTF and Benchmade Crooked River.
Collar
Almost every OTF wiggles like that bro. I am kinda like you..... I prefer side opening autos
The only people that think clones are good knives are people that know nothing about steel and heat treat and actual quality
Thts not true
@@eskee1 ok, name one clone that is a good knife with good steel that is the actual steel it claims to be and which has a good heat treat, and also has the same quality scales and parts as the original......... Well.....We're waiting, ok maybe that's a little hard, ok, name one knife expert here on KZread or anywhere else that says clones are the same or better quality than the originals, that says clones have great steel and a great heat treat and great scales and other parts but it's somehow just selling it really cheap....... No....... You can't think of any.... Oh well, I guess you will still go on thinking your right and thinking you know knives and quality, I'm curious about something, what's your favorite steel and hrc for edge retention, for strength, for corrosion resistance, and what's there optimal hrc for that given attribute, what exactly is your favorite steel and hrc of that steel and why, why does hrc matter less than most people think it does, what's the best hrc for magnacut, and what we're most companies running there magnacut hrc at first, and why was it a problem when doing the same thing with every other steel wasn't as much a problem for these companies before, why was magnacut so different in that respect, what makes magnacut truly innovative and why is it so different from all other steel, what is the Pinnacle of sharpness, what attributes does a truly sharp knife have, what angle would you run a full flat grind rex45 with thin geometry for edge retention, what angle would you run a hard use knife at, what company would you call truly innovative, what was the most innovative knife at blade show 2024, not the knife that was awarded most innovative, but the knife that was actually the most innovative, which company would you say experts think of when they think of hard use and extremely strong folding knives, what production company has tier1 heat treats, what production companies are in 2nd place, what is the strongest folding knife lock, what is the best folding knife lock for safety, that keeps your fingers away from the edge while closing, what synthetic scales would you say are true quality and have excellent strength to weight ratio, which synthetic scales would you say are not quality, what type of titanium is considered quality and which is considered a downgrade quality, what is the most innovative thing to happen to titanium knife scales in the past 5 years, or here's a really good one, why will you never, ever ever ever hear a legitimate knife expert calling a counterfeit clone quality, should I keep going, can you answer any of those extremely simple questions, because believe me they are extremely simple and I'm no expert
@@DABinCHRIST I agree with you. But some of them can be good enough users, regardless. I don`t buy clones myself, but have handeled a few, and tested them out a bit. Best one was a somewhat expensive Sebenza 21 clone. Out of all my knives i think my old AUS8 American Lawman, has the most pocket time. And then my Buck Vantage Avid 13c26, or the Maix2 in 154cm. My newest favourite is the Stretch 2 in K390. I don`t buy into the steelhype that much. If you have good geometry, HT and sharpening it`s all good for 99.9% of the population. "Right tool for the job" and blablabla. :) If i had to pick: Carbon: 80crv2. Stainless: CPM154. Toolstell: K390 . Reason: They are fairly balanced, and can be used for most types of knives. Now K390 is hardly what most people would call balanced. But for what it is, i think it is. Even with all the alloying elements (esp. Vanadium) it still has good enough thoughness, and is quite "easy" to sharpen. The patina is just a bonus feature to "make it yours." I prefer backlocks or mod. Backlocks like the Tri-Ad lock for my hiking/camping/woods knife folders. And linerlocks/framelocks for EDC stuff. In general i also prefer thin grinds, and i make most of them semi-convex. Im not a fan of lockbar inserts/balls on titanium framelocks. Hence i my last Sebenza is a 21 made in 2014. And a gen4 Hinderer XM18 3.5. Can`t speak of Magnacut since i don`t have anything in that steel. And frankly, with the whole "debacle" surrounding it, im not going to for a while... As a sidenote I`d be interested to know what you think of the ESEE 1095 HT?
The real AD15 is actually a really nice knife. Not as hard to open or use as that clone. AD10 is another great knife and the lock is alot easier than the AD15. I have the AD20 milled Titanium with the full flat grind and clip point. The AD20 Ti is my favorite knife in my collection. I could sell every other knife and be happy with just the AD20. I also have the 4max and it's a beast but is a large knife and almost to big to carry.
A lot of knife companies got what they deserve. Many companies outsource to China, and quite a few companies outsource to China covertly and still claim its "made in America". Well before those Chinese factories retool they pump out thousands of extra blades at the same or lower quality, and throw them on to third party vendor sites. I got an absolutely mint quality Becker BK2 which I have beaten to hell. It is as good as an original and cost thirty bucks. I also got a pristine Gerber Strongarm for eleven bucks. I guess its a case of "sow the wind, reap the whirlwind"
Cool knife, great review. Thanks for sharing.
I have many clone knifes and most of them are almost indistinguishable from the real thing. Having a real thing to compare it is the way I came to this conclusion. Except the blade steel some of my best knifes are clones like Spyderco Kapara, PM 3 in titanium and a wicked Benchmade Bugout. And last but not the least I have the clone Chris Reeve Umnumzan which is exactly the same knife as an original. It's incredible to me that the knife costing 70$ is practically (lower grade D2 steel vs S90V on the original) the same as the 500$ real thing....
Sorry for all the comments. That launch linerlock is hilarious!! I'd like to trade you something for it
You want that goofy Kershaw? 🤣
I do... total clown knife haha. Fake button on a launch with liner lock... hahaha
Clone= counterfeit , branded Copy= unbranded Sister= same factory and machines unbranded
Demko clones seem to be very good
I have well over 100 knives. Some cheap some over 1k. I have a few clones also. Most of the clones I have are pretty damn good. If the blade steel was legit most would be better than the original
Not one of these knives is available on Temu in the UK.
