My name is Wade.
I am a do-it-yourselfer in everything that comes my way.
My goal is to inspire you to not be afraid of tackling projects that seem daunting to you. I want to show you that you can accomplish anything with just a little hard work.
I am regularly fixing and constructing to make my family’s life and living space better. I hate spending money, so every project that I do is done as frugally as possible.
If I don’t know how to do it, I figure it out. If I have never done it before, I figure out how to do it.
I hope to inspire you to tackle the little projects and the big projects in your life one by one!

Dam this guy is a bad ass.
Thank you, sir. I have to do this to my daughters car tomorrow.

Best video for ball joint replacement on Corolla.
I was quoted $2,558 yesterday from a mechanic to get this done. $1,300 is a steal!
Awesome Job!!! I was just quoted for $2,200.00!!! So, your vid is very helpful, thanks so much for that. I've done spark plugs replacement 4 yrs ago on my 2008 HL(you know how it is) but I'm gonna need so much more patience to do this job. Thanks so much again for your awesome video and for the heads up on what to expect.
Thanks man! I'm going to try!
thats a hell of a job to do in the driveway. props to you for tackling this task. hope i dont have to ever do this in my lifetime 🙏
just so you know there are programs online that will show you step by step how to repair each part of the vehicle. check out alldata
Thanks for keeping it positive. Way to be a teacher.
and this is why i'll never buy another transverse V6
Thanks a bunch. Didn't have a clue why and where. All th best.
Anyone who would call this "Super Easy" is an idiot.
Great video, you are saying everything good mechanics suggest to do.
what the size of the key to remove the join nuts ? Than kyou!
How many miles did it have?
109k
A good base of sand or native soil would be better than the rocks next to the pvc pipe.
I agree. However I did not want to spend any money on this project. I believe you are exactly right though.
Good job, i hope you compacted the backfill under the street very well as you were putting the dort back in the hole. May wind up with a sinkhole in that spot in a couple of years.. or in a day or two if a big enough vehicle sits on it.
Well done....when I change a fluid for a mechanical device that requires a "somewhat" exact (maybe within a couple/few ounces) replacement amount, I mark my gallon jug in increments of quarts or use an empty 5 qt. oil container. Not perfect (you could refill used quart bottles(marked in increments of ounces) to be precise, but that is somewhat of a messy "pain,) but you should be within a few ounces. thanks again....
It is not a solenoid. It is a relay. I’m confused enough without the wrong name.
I just installed mine. Thanks for the help! Question; is it a bit hard to turn the dead bolt? Mine is. Maybe it’ll be easier once the weatherstripping is compressed some.
Guys, don’t do it if it is only 1300.
What was the symptoms that lead you to believe that is was the evaporator coil? I have a weird smell in the cabin of the vehicle and the AC isn’t working very well. Thanks for sharing this information! Great video!
How did you find out your evap core was bad?
love your video man
Hi. First, THANK YOU for pointing out the part. I will add that I was able to get to it "top side" by unhooking the wiring harness (es) that are "in front" (between the "hole" where you remove the little drawer...and the relay you are trying to remove)...on my 2005 Toyota Matrix. My part number was "toyota 28300-10020". I had the same symptom. I tested and replaced the clutch pedal switch, but it still would not "crank". Popping the clutch at least let me drive it home. Thanks again.
I'm glad you have these videos for your highlander. I have an 08 with over 160k and will fix everything I can on it on my own till the day it dies.
Did anyone tell him that the grey metal thing either the coolant lines going to it is a throttle body? When doing this job you might as well clean the throttle body ( KZread how to do it and use throttle body cleaner not brake clean etc. ). Since you made all that effort, buy a throttle body gasket especially on a 7-15 year old vehicle. Also change out the intake manifold gasket. Ya I cringed when I saw the intake ports were wide open. Use a clean rag or painters tape ( don’t use “ duct tape “) it leaves a residue which could lead to leaks. The intake is plastic. Loosen the screws from the outside in and the opposite when putting the intake back on. Use a torque wrench and Google the torque settings. Like you said it’s not much but that also means it doesn’t take much to crack the plastic. Doin* the front plugs first gives you some muscle memory for how 5he wiring harnesses disconnect. Yes they are brittle but they can b3 taken off quite easily without breaking the connection.
I made one sorta like this but way bigger and you can only ride on one side, broke my axle
Throttle body
Watching from Kansas City!
Bare hands off the bulbs that’s the easiest way to destroy mercury halogen lamps.
Good video brother! This video actually has everything you need to change your oil in 2013 Highlander!!!! Appreciate ya.
What to do when the brick wall is how should I say gapping more from the siding? We are in process of cleaning out the old calk and replace but we have a few areas that are pulled away from siding more
Its not mortar in a tube. Its acrylic. Not much different than the silicone that was replaced. Its more work but you can take a grinder and wire brush to the decaying stuff and just use a point to shove fresh mortar in the crack. 1/2 to 3/4" will hold fine.
Thanks and your son is so cute 🥰
I noticed there wasn't any house wrap bebind the siding...not good...also he should use some flashing
I have an 06 Corolla automatic I can turn the key but it won’t start the radio will work and the lights but won’t start I’ll put another battery it’ll start fine then it won’t start after a day or two 😩
Just happened to me too. Lol. My 2006 carolla wont start so im here tryna figure it out. We put a new battery in it yesterday.
@@dogegaming1350 after a week at the mechanics because I couldn’t find the problem it turned out to be the alternator
Great job man!

Toyota Engineers: 😹👹
Thanks for this video. Just wondering, how much did you save doing this project yourself? I have been quoted $320 to change the transmission fluid.
Who’s the babe?
You don’t need jack stands.. Just put on ur spare tire and use as an additional support
Great job
Amazing! I think your boys would rather be with dad turning wrenches than any place else. Unlike most DIY vids you show the problems, particularly during reassembly where most KZreadrs use the magic of editing. Too much project for me, but GREAT vid!
Thanks for the video! Looking to do the same on the same MY of highlander and I had a question regarding whether or not the DRL (Day Time Running Lamp) works fine? Do they flicker at all? if you are not sure what I am talking about, its the first headlamp setting after off called "AUTO". Should be a drastic difference between all the way on, and AUTO during the day.
Very good video covering everything that should be covered.
YOU DON'T NEED TO TAKE THAT SMALLER CAP. PLUS YOU ARE USING A TRANSMISSION FUNNEL GET MOTOR IOL FUNNEL
Pulling out wiring harness is unnecessary. Just move bolts on either end of horizontal brace and bracing, then you can raise the horizontal brace and slide the ac box out of the car. Here is a video with some tips. kzread.info/dash/bejne/dKdsrZeFdpDVl9o.htmlsi=6mfp84hkhDEOY4cs
