  It should still work on 15.0.2. I suggest you try again on a fresh version of Dawn as a test. If you get a different result, then you may have to double check your installation. If you get the same result, there might be a deeper issue.

  My item.variant.quantity_rule does not exist actually in my theme, any idea what I can replace it with, also the max="{{ quantity_rule.max }} does not exist in my code on the main-cart-items.liquid or the cart-drawer.liquid... Any idea what I can do in that case?

  This customization was designed for the free Shopify themes (ex: Dawn, Refresh, Sense, etc). If you're using a premium or third-party theme, then additional custom coding will be required.

  I had a new idea yesterday and wanted to share it with you to get your thoughts on it. I've noticed that everyone has a problem with variant images not getting grouped properly. When Shopify updates the store, which seems to disrupt the whole structure. So, what if we create a block in the product page that works like this: 1. We create each variant as a separate product. 2. We have a metafield in the products (backend) where we select the other variants of the product. 3. We add this product URL to be displayed accordingly on the product page (with the featured product image displayed in the product variant options). The only problem with this approach is that we can't add color swatches to the variant options. I was thinking that if we add an option in the page builder to select a custom image, that issue could be solved. Let me know your thoughts!"

  If I understand you correctly, you want to combine separate product listings together as an alternative to variants. If that's the case, we have a customization for that already.   Really enjoying your videos - thank you SO much for putting all of these together. I've just completed this video but annoyingly the custom swatches isn't working as expected for me - it works as expected for when used for variants but when I tick the Use Custom Swatch box from within the Product Grouping Picker, the images are defaulting to the product image (when using the variant-swatch-mapping Metaobject and a custom one). Also, I've also found that when there are no variant options the custom swatches end up being stacked vertically and are almost oval in shape. Can you only group products which have variants with this code? Any suggestions as to which bit of code might need checking/tweaking would be greatly appreciated.

Lines 10 and 11 of the product-grouping-picker-custom.liquid file reference two assets 1) component-product-variant-swatch.css and 2) component-product-variant-picker.css. I don't have a component-product-variant-swatch.css file, but I do have a component-product-variant-swatch-custom.css (i.e., the one created as part of the prerequisite video). Is there a difference? The second file (component-product-variant-picker.css) exists but I don't remember creating it so assume it's an original file - is that correct?

  Ah, yes you should use the one created in the pre-requisite video, component-product-variant-swatch-custom.css. As for the second file, component-product-variant-picker.css, you are correct that it is part of the original theme files.

  Very nice video. What is the reason I can't update main product. And even when you do add to cart, you can't add the color you want, only the first color.

  What I would suggest is to double check that you're using a compatible theme and version. If it checks out, then what you can try is installing a fresh new version of a compatible theme (ex: Dawn v15) as a sandbox testing theme and try again from the beginning. If you get a different result, then there might be something wrong with the steps you've taken. If you get the same result, there might be a deeper issue at play.

  I feel so silly not having seen this video before!! I am using your other video for the variant description for this issue. I suggested to the store owner to move to this option, but they do not like the fixed date metafield, they prefer the Page metafield option. Is there an easy way to use that instead, so we can use both inventory status and variant descriptions?

  You should already be able to use both the inventory status and variant descriptions since they are separate blocks in the product description section. You can drag and drop them to place them wherever you want. If you mean you want to display the variant inventory counts in each variant description, then this will require custom coding. This as sometimes we might not have an exact date, to output. We would like to output the text "Available again from mid September" for example. should be doable right?

  Yes, this is certainly do-able. In terms of the actual implementation, if you don't need to add any images, it might be better to use text metafield instead of page. Note that if you are not using the date metafield, then the feature to hide the display once the selected date has passed will no longer function properly. So figuring out how you want to handle those situations will help determine what approach you should take.

However, I am facing an issue where the remaining media only changes when I reload the page manually, is there anything that can be adjusted so that the remaining media changes automatically?   Hey Prompted! I have done all the steps that you've demonstrated in both the previous and this video regarding the code, metafields for the variants and how to set them up, activating the feature in the page where you customize the website. My product has 5 variants including 3 pictures for said variants. I'm on the Sense theme by the way. After following the steps to the letter, my website displays the picture for the variant with it's associated color however, it refuses to display the other 2 photos that go with the product and only displays the first 3 photos out of the 15 total images that I have ordered in the product media page on shopify. I have assigned the 3 photos files to the metafield for each colors. Moreover, once I refresh the website to see if it would display the 2 other pictures for the selected variant, it just displays all 15 images that I have for the product. Could you please help me with this issue? Thanks Edit: I have played around with some things in the customize webpage in shopify and I was able to get the website to display the other 2 images upon refreshing the page. However, I cannot make them change when I click on another variant.

  No, that's not necessary. They just need to be grouped together using your chosen method (metafield, filename, alt text).

  @@moneywithrain Yes first the prerequisite video Then the Dawn 15.0 video Also follow the written guides. There's one part that wasn't in the prerequisite video but is in the blog post to be added. This code block replaces the first one in the Dawn 15.0 tutorial but there's another line you gotta add.

  You can. To do that, you would need to re-structure the html in the card-product.liquid file.

  @@theprompted I had a fiddle with the code in the card-product.liquid file but was unable to work out where to move the code to. I found moving the 2nd small section of code gave results, but I couldn't pin-point where to move it to to get the desired result. Do I need to move the code section to a specific place, or does that section of code need to be altered further to yield the desired result?

  The video and code link should provide the information of what code goes where in the file. The placement should match what is shown in the video, if you place it elsewhere it may not work properly. If your code does not match the video, then you might not be using a compatible theme. This tutorial was designed for the free Shopify themes (ex: Dawn, Sense, Refresh, etc).

  I think that's normal. The dynamic buttons normally show up on the product page, so that you can skip the cart. But if you're already in your cart, the next step will always be checkout regardless.

  @@theprompted Not always, some people will click the dynamic button on the cart. Also, not a big fan of having that dynamic button the product page so that's why. But I'm sure if I change the setting of the cart from "Drawer" to "Page" it'll show up as usual. Will see.

  Minimum qty scenario is not working in cart. I have only minimum qty condition. Add to cart if min Qty-10. In Product page its working fine. But in cart page and drawer, decreasing button is not disabled if qty <10. Please advice.

  What theme and version are you using? If it's v15, some viewers have reported that it's not working. We will review this and make an update if necessary.
