Who wants to go to Sydney’s Wynyard Train Station?
Hi Sean 👋 I must say that this station has no resemblance to the heavy rail station that it has replaced. I can see the tram being very popular from this stop, and I am looking forward to the opening of this service in the near future. Excellent video. Well done, Sean 👏 👍
Crazy I lived right behind this station when I was growing up about 15yrs ago, but instead of all these blocks and apartment we rented a large block of land with a small house. Looks unrecognisable now. My mum and I were usually always the only people using the train back then.
Nice video
And 12 months later these things are still running around being “tested”. Staff have a Nick name for them which can’t be uttered in nice places.
I live at WOY WOY
Cool! I find it a nice area on the Central Coast
Hi Sean 👋 I really enjoyed this video, and I think platform 2 worked out to be the best for filming 6029. Excellent video, well done Sean 👏 👍
Thanks John! Glad you enjoyed it:) The platform change certainly allowed for different filming and photo shots, especially on the citybound platform as the train was scheduled to to only use platform 3 on each occasion that weekend
Thanks for the update. Good to see a couple of trams at the Westmead end. First time for me.
No worries :)
Hi Sean 👋 I really enjoyed this video, and I am impressed with your efforts to bring us these updates, especially knowing that you did this one before going to work. I am looking forward to the rest of the series. Well done Sean 👏 👍
Thanks John :)
@transportforsydneyvlogs7258 you're very welcome Sean 👍
Really appreciate your awesome uploads & your candid comments on various transit systems, especially around Sydney. Thank you for sharing & keep up the great work you do in keeping your subscribers informed of what is happening, especially as they relate to current & future transit projects.
No worries Dennis! Glad you appreciate these videos :) I enjoy going out and filming them, and will continue to do it for as long as I can, and when I can for current and future transport projects
My closest station!
Great Video.
Hi Sean 👋 I really enjoyed this video, and this is the first time I have seen the mural. Excellent video, well done Sean 👏 👍
Thanks John! Glad you liked it :)
@@transportforsydneyvlogs7258 you're very welcome 👍
Nice video! Do you even know about an incident requiring emergency services at Punchbowl on Tuesday?
Thank you! Yes I heard about the fatality! Just sad to hear… condolences to the family and friends
My local station:)
Cool :)
Can we see some videos or photos in this video please? As the saying goes, "this could have been an email".
Who wants to go to Sydney’s St. James Train Station?
Who wants to go to Sydney’s Museum Train Station?
When was this done?
I won't be too excited if the Sydney Trains Timetable Overhaul doesn't happen on the 4th August as planned. I'm not excited about anything until they announced when the Sydney Trains 2024 Timetable will finally start. I'm getting very impatient now because a new timetable overhaul for the Sydney Trains network is many years late and I hate this November 2017 timetable so much.
The new Sydney trains timetable won’t come into effect until the government is satisfied that the new M1 extension is running a reliable service, at least between Sydenham and the CBD, and this is when the final shutdown of the Bankstown Line will likely occur. It probably won’t be until later in the year! I’d say give it at least a few months after the Chatswood-Sydenham Metro section
2:24 That includes the Green Light from ONRSR Australia's National Rail Safety Regulator
Ahhhh yes indeed, thank you! Forgot to mention that at the time
Superb
Thanks :)
and not a bike helmet in sight
Very nice
Hi Sean, I am very impressed with the rolling stock and the various liveries seen in this video. I think Sydney could do with a similar splash of colour and some imagination when it comes to train design. However, I really like what we have in Sydney with our alphabet fleet. Great video, Sean. Well done 👏 👍
Cool love it
U look at a A/B set then D set looks like series 3 waratah
My list of D Sets not in NSW yet are D1/D101, D36/D136 and D54/D154 all the way to D61/D161. It's been months since anyone has updated on the delivery process. Have any of the sets mentioned above managed to arrive into NSW as of the 5th July 2024?
According to this TOC, the delivery time frame got extended 6 months till November 29 2024. TOC Waiver - TW: 203-1451 "This TOC Waiver supersedes TOC Waiver 203-1371, and extends operation for a further 6 months. This TOC Waiver permits transfer from Port Kembla, Inner Harbour, or Woodville Junction network boundaries to an appropriate maintenance centre /depot only (as part of the delivery of new NIF trains from the port)." So between now and November 29th should see the last deliveries. But with the information about the trackside upgrades only JUST commencing and taking until 2026 who knows wtf TfNSW are doing anymore. They have had over an entire year since the election and the new trackside signage (car markers etc.) and infrastructure (balises) to be compliant with the changed operating model are now slated to begin Mid 2024 until 2026. Some locations are compliant, mostly stations that could already fit a 10car set. But no-one has posted a public facing list of what stations are done and which are yet to be begin. This also includes upgrades to signaling and OHW which are taking place alongside the other upgrades. That would explain why some media outlets have reported 2025 for SCO line to get the new sets. Transport documents: Mariyung Fleet: Rail Infrastructure Upgrades - Car markers and balises [April 2024] Mariyung Fleet: Rail Infrastructure Upgrades -Signalling, overhead wiring, and lighting upgrades [May 2024]
Not sure! Most of them are now in the country, but haven’t been keeping track of which sets are still to arrive
Hi Sean 👋 I really enjoyed this wonderful presentation, especially the Heritage Train, which I think is the Dset. 😅 The steamer is extra special as are the Vsets and you covered all of them perfectly. Well done Sean 👏 👍
Thanks John! Glad you enjoyed it :) Haha, the D Set might just become heritage before it enters service 😂
@transportforsydneyvlogs7258 you're very welcome Sean 👍
Excited video
Thank you!
3:58 I think I’ve seen him before..
those are some weird looking T sets
It's like Llyn-by-the-Sea in SCR.
Stations look so different during day and night
Nice video

What do you mean we'll see the road in its final alignment in "early June?"

Hi Sean 👋 I really enjoyed this video. I must say that I have always thought that Kings Cross and St Pancras were 2 separate stations. Great video, well done Sean 👏 👍
Hello! King’s Cross and St Pancras are two separate mainline railway stations built next door to each other above ground. They share an underground station, however, as the platforms stretch beneath both of them and you can access both from underground
@@TacticalTeapot Thank you for the information, I really appreciate it.
Thanks John! Glad you enjoyed this one:) Yes, what Tactical Teapot said. King’s Cross is the station for intercity and regional services, whereas St Pancras is the station across the road for international services to mainland Europe
@transportforsydneyvlogs7258 you're very welcome Sean 👍 I found it confusing with the platforms showing both names on the station signage.
Interesting how the the Trees planted had leaves and then a day or so later everyone was completely bare.
Excellent video the trains there are uncpie and different to our Sydney trains
Thank you!
What is the differences between S7 and S8 stock trains?
The difference is S7 is 7 carriages while S8 is 8 carriages. S8 also has some facing seats while S7 is all longitudinal seating
Noticed that on the last day, that yellow crane appeared on the development area, I wonder if that’s the sigh of actual progress in that area?
Did a Sydney visit last year , the transport systems fantastic . Did a great train journey from hay market to Penrith , passing parramatta on the way .
M sets on the T9 it a rare sight
The best trains in the best city of Australia. Sydney all the way Best
Thanks a lot for the video. I love trains, metros and the like. Greetings from Valencia, Spain :)
Gracias :)
The government can’t be to worried about climate change to build a station so close to the water 🤣
Hahaha facts
Hi Sean 👋 I really appreciate the effort you have taken to present this update over the month of June and from 2 distinct vantage points. I also appreciate your detailed explanation of the progress at this site. Well done Sean 👏 👍
Thanks John :)
