My theory is that Ms. Raj somehow came across the phrase "major...major" as the English equivalent of Filipino Gayspeak "bonggang bonga" and has been using it as an expression to mean "extravagantly extravagant", "outlandishly outlandish", or "exuberantly exuberant" in order to sound cool, well informed and witty.

But, for me the best answer she should have was citing her " during my college, I secretly kept a boyfriend from mother. infidelity of him causes the break up and that made me focus... devoted my time on my studies ...and that was the reason I graduated cum laude. I really don't think she would win even her response was good With her horrible gown She would only place 2nd runner up, Mexico and Jamaica where neck and neck from the very beginning, Don't get me wrong Venus was my favorite miss Philippines and i was just getting goosebumps when she was called as the finalist on top 15 And i was just thinking that she could have won during her swimsuit performance coz it was just spectacular so as Jamaica and Mexico is But she lost it during her evening gown, Ireland and Albania were way more better than her i guess it was the crowd who help her get through because maybe the judge and the whole production were very overwhelmed by the cheering of the crowd for venus But i say it venus was my favorite miss Philippines ever and if she had another gorgeous gown and and answer the question even in a mediocre way she could have the crown
I cannot Blame her. Maybe she is nervous or overwhelmed on the situation since this is the 1st time in 11 years that the Philippines made it to the top 5 in Miss Universe. Thats OK. At least, she won 4th runner up and gives luck to the incoming Philippine candidates.
