  Hello! Thank you for this video! I am also musician, trying to figure out my perfect setup for streaming Instagram live including Roland SP 404MK2. So my quiestion is - maybe you have tryied and know the answer 😁 - if I connect MK2 to my ipad to go live on Instagram, is any sreaming app like OBS studio ets needed? Or the MK 2 do all the job? Thanks! 🙏🏻☀️☺️

  Ah nice! To be honest, I've never tried it but thinking aloud if you can choose your sound input in insta live the 404mk2 acts as an audio interface so that's all good that side! OBS gives you flexibility, you can customise "scenes" add overlays and alerts and handle all your audio and video in once place so if your home, I wonder if that's the best option, however if you're out and about, if you can tether your phone internet connection to your ipad, could be fun going live in random places etc.! if insta let's you choose video input too, you may be able to use your phone as a camera too!? @BJamminSinceBirth is worth checking out too, he uses 404mk2 and ipad lots so prob has more wisdom than me on it! Let us know how you get on! :)

  @@commonbeats No luck for me, tried multiple attempts and different locations. I'm familiar with batch / cfg / ini files and this is essentially the same thing so I don't believe it's user error. I found a work around though, I just key mapped the arm record button and track select button to the same button. I.e; I press one and it switches to track 1 and arms it.

  hey George, 60hz is sub/lower end of kick so bringing more bass out, 1k for a bit of mid range clarity, 6k for upper mids boost. I've not gone for very high freq as more lofi vibe. Hope this helps :)

  Hi there, i’m not quite sure what you mean but you can hold down shift and click multiple arm buttons to record more than one track at the same time if that’s what you mean? please do get back to me if you meant something different and will try help :)

  Please help me. Suddenly I'm trying to record vocals and the vocal tracks recording all the other instruments. Everything that's already there is mixing onto the vocal track and ruining the vocal. Why is this happening and how do I stop it?

  that’s strange, i’m not sure in truth but a few things to check - make sure just vocal track is armed - make sure the audio track is set to ext in > your mic channel - it might just be a glitch so worth restarting computer / audio interface and trying again - it almost sounds like re-sampling but can’t think why it would happen sorry not to be of any real help!

  Easy Peasy - Works like a charm - Most definitely should be a setting in Live - There's a lot of feature asks out there, so hopefully for others this will make the cut soon. Ideally, we could arm a track for monitoring when selecting, NOT recording. This is a fab work around though - Thanks a ton for sharing. I know there's a lot of work in making a simple vid like this.

  Focus on the cam looks nice and gooey. What do you use to put together the two cam feeds live? When I use OBS I lose quality, so I’m wondering what ppl with good looking streams use

  hey man, the key difference is probably lighting i use a key light. other than i just use obs too and do video capture devices in Obs (I have 2x usb to hdmi cheap convertors) i then arrange the size of each camera feed in obs too. i don’t use any filters etc.. i think I use 6000 for streaming video bitrate in obs settings I have 2 sony cameras (a6300) and sigma lenses (30 and 16mm) hope this helps!

  @@Tapepusher to be honest i’m not sure mate. people like malo beats, spvidz, accurate beats, BKDTR theory, Bjamminsincebirth use other analog gear with theirs so worth having a look at their channels 👊
