This channel is about my adventure in gardening and my 2 allotment plots and 4 Polytunnels here in North West Cumbria on the edge of the Lake district National Park. I am a daily gardener who believes in trying things for myself rather than just reading about it. I grow vegetables for the table and some for fun., cut flowers are also a necessity and a dozen buckets a week in season are not uncommon. I grow as much as I possibly can from seed, there is nothing more satisfying. Always busy, with something new on the horizon or another test. Join me for the adventure!!

Miss this Guy, taught me so much!!
I hoped to learn from your experience and the door is the thing. Thanks.
✌️😎
Thank you.
It’s bitter because it’s gone to flower. Needs to be picked a bit earlier
Remembering Steve and your great advice - thank you ❤
Missing Steve and his great advice xx
Here in June 2024 binge watching green side up. Bless you Steve RIP, these are great videos. I've watched them all at least twice by now, learning something each time.
Had the same problem with my order very poor quality, won't do it again.
Gonna put a double cross brace under the door frame to anchor the thing and keep the door straight . Excellent idea I'm going to steal it . thank you very much
So much useful advice thanks
felt very sad when this popped up on my home page 😢 RIP Steve 🙏
Where to get that clear foil from?
I hope your doing good. I love your garden.
Love
How often should I apply Supersoil ?
1year gone already Steven 😢
Going through your videos again my friend, always in my thoughts rest in peace 🕊️
This video is nearly two years old but JParkers’s attitude is still the same. They are okay for buying established plants but yes plant plugs are a waste of money.
Miss you Steve x
Sutton used to have a really good reputation but just got some geranium plug plants. So small could hardly work with them without damaging. Box said follow instructions inside, nothinbut adverts for other products. Thing the ones I have managed to pot will be read about 2026. Rubbish
I agree, however Farmer Gracy and You garden have been prompt .
We miss you Steve - Thanks for everything.
I have given up growing sweetcorn as there are now three badger sets on our allotment site and for the last two years everyone’s sweetcorn has been eaten by them.
Still I come back to watch your videos. Rest easy Steve. ❤
That is a lovely solid structure and will be great for your sweetpeas etc. All the best. Mags
Well, I’m very late to hear of Steve’s passing and feeling stunned and heavy hearted. 😢 Such a sad loss. I’m appreciative of all that he shared and his willingness to help…I learned a lot and adored him.
Thank you! The barrier for the corn is brilliant! New subscriber here.
While I was saddened to learn of his passing, his family should be proud that Steve is still providing guidance for people. These polytunnel videos are some of the best instructional videos for the setup and maintenance available and I for one am glad Steve took the time to share what he knew with everyone.
Miss your visits to our plot pal.
Great looking onions. Do you not let the tops fall over before harvesting?
Just popped by to remind myself of Steve's advice, as I prepared some new pots and got the first of my potatoes in the ground - i.e. in buried pots. Steve lives on with every new or revisited view.
Those hinged counters in your hoop-house ... Brilliant. And you've explained Pruning of Vines so very well. Bravo! 🎯🍅🍉
Miss u old man
RIP Steve. You Will Be Missed By So Many. You Helped Us All. X
Thanks for this! Here in Canada I am growing some Russet potatoes but mostly Kennebec. We don’t think of first early or second early or main crop here, we just kind of grow them! I saw someone say it works differently in the UK because of your cool moist summers. I’m growing in spanking brand new 35L containers with handles. You have me worried though as I have bought four seed taters per pot, Tony O’Neil made me do it😇! I’m hoping the extra 5L will help. I’m planning on watering mine with half strength Miracle grow weekly. My growing medium will be Pro Mix, a super duper peat based compost. I’m Planning to can the potatoes for home fries!
Love it Steve, g8 advice and lots of it, respect to you Sir! Thank you!
Rip
Did you concrete the posts inside the tunnel into the ground?
Thinking about Steve today as I was sowing my veg seeds . Learnt so much from him . 🕊🌿
I'm so glad your channel is still up. I miss the wealth of knowledge you shared with us. Its nice to be able to come back to old videos I hope your new garden is bringing peace
✌️😎
WONDERFUL! THANK YOU!!
I came here after watching your older videos and inspiring me to email my council and ask where I was on the allotment list! I then saw your last post was months ago and got confused and have just read the comments to see you have sadly passed away. So sad and what great advice and videos you put up which really have inspired me. You will live on through the rest of our allotments 🤍
