    Thank you for the tips. When moving from C1 to PS, do you always use 8bit instead of 16? And can I ask why?

    Hey Dave when your exporting your images, you could export jpgs into each respective folder at once? So let’s say all the Red 001-005 and Blue 001-005 goes right into those same folders when you export. If that makes sense?

    So I turned this off after the shoot when I found this video. But I still see the pixel counts and crop markers on the image. Any suggestions on how to remove these crop markers? Note the image is not actually cropped, but it's marked like it's going to be.

    I could see this working for a school portrait shoot actually. But then delivery would be the next hurdle to jump.

    This was something I was told about before getting C1, so I wasn't that traumatized by it, but using last photos settings for most other things is actually a huge benefit. It'd be nice if you could exclude cropping from that. You want the previous crop when shooting product, but not when doing headshots.

    Right click on the image, select “Edit With” then select “Other” and navigate to Photoshop. Next time you will see this in your Edit With list. Hope this helps!

    I have just tethered a rather large photo session. I have not had this issue before so im not sure what the problem is. My files in capture one have their name but when i check the raw folder file the names are different. simply just numbers. to make matters worse the numbers are a complete mix up. Its as if the program has gone into some complete idiot mode and messed up all my file names. I cant send these files to the client this way and its causing me a huge head ache at the moment. Do you know what ive done wrong to make it rename my raw files this way?

    Hi Jeremy - when you right click an image in C1 and select "Show in Finder" does it show the correct name (the one showing inside C1)?

    I would reach out to C1 support. Very strange and we have never encountered that issue. If they are able to help please let us know what the problem ended up being. All the best!

    If you want to save the psd file, do you need to save it outside of C1? Whenever I have come back to the image, it has flattened it for me, which I don't prefer. Would it still be layered if I select the "open with" instead? Always enjoy these short, useful tips! Thanks!!

  • @headshotmethod
    @headshotmethod2 жыл бұрын

    Thanks Karen - if you select Open With... Photoshop, you should be able to see all the layers as you last left them. But it won't show any recent changes you made to the image inside C1. Hope this helps! This might also help: learn.captureone.com/blog-posts/psd-files-capture-one-now/

    to speed cull - I remapped 0 key to [ and 1 key to ]. This allows me to one star and navigate with one hand. if i'm remembering correctly, LR, had this bracket rating feature and was my carryover.
