As someone that owns both an esp standard and a Jackson American….. they’re different guitars for different things.

There owned by fender and there extremely corporate so yes they will offer cheap quality for more money thats how corporate works the Jackson era is over they aint built by the originals anymore if you want a really good jackson either get pre fender or custome shop but i heard even custom shop sucks to

i literally just bought both a gibson silverburst studio with emgs and an ec-1000 with the floyd in the last 2 months. They both have certain aspects which are nice. Gibson really should take notes with the cutaway of the back of the neck, that is ridiculously more comfortable. Both amazing guitars

Late to the game. I owned a 2019 Custom Shop Soloist. With the exception of a small paint chip to the tip of the headstock, it was flawless. Jackson happily took it back, sanded and resprayed the head and returned to me. What ended up happening with yours?

I have a 2012 4003.. it sounds awesome.. but the action is a bit high... And what bothers me the most is even though I took off that plastic piece off the rear pick-up, it kind of hurts my finger when I pluck.. my finger keeps hitting the inside of the chrome pickup housing

"why is it so expensive with out a finish" It's SUPER hard to make non finished wood look perfect. It requires LOTS of sanding LOOOOOOOTS. Not making excuses, but its harder to do a good natural finish than it is to paint one.....

That's a double locking bridge the strings are cut and locked into the saddles so no ball ends to go through the bridge so not an issue with that bridge it isn't strung like a strat

Hey man I'm 5"8 too and I play a 2011 GPS Streamer 4 string, I dont have mine up by my chest not low by any means, I have the contour sitting on my hip and its the most comfortable instrument I've ever played. As for the neck, I made sure it had a thin profile because I have pretty small hands too. The tilt angle doesn't need to be particularly steep to be able to play the lower frets comfortably, I think the horn length has something to do with this. Anyway I still want a Thumb!

The shape is actually an existing model type, This is an Imperial MG shape, the shape of the horn you're describing is the Imperial. and the top is the Imperial 2 that has the extended shape. But other than that, a pretty shady fake

I used to own a German-made Thumb NT4. Gigged extensively, but never fell in love with it because the first fret always felt a mile away. Guess it was the long scale length.

is the V2 bridge really lifting? I ask because it is supposed to be 2 pieces where the top is not pulled by the strings.

  • @Anthony-qh1xv
    @Anthony-qh1xvАй бұрын

Yeah, honestly when you pay that much, it should be really great. That’s such a shame. That’s really unacceptable, that looks like the workmanship of honestly a pretty low-end instrument. Sorry.

The Gotoh is the best design, they've taken the concept and run with it. To my mind it's better than any of the trems they make for Ibanez. The stud lock and the screw in arm with the allen screw to tighten it, is a better design as well. I like the Lockmeister that Schaller make, over the 1984, and definitely the 1000, because it's every bit as good as a Floyd, better made, with quality steel and hardened allen bolts as well, but at about half the price. It's a direct replacement for any OFR as well, whereas the Gotoh usually needs modifications to the guitar.

I bought my first Jackson CS SL-2h in 2009. The price was about $3000. The factory installed two neck pickups on that guitar. That means the strings are wider than the pickup poles in the bridge pickup position. My second CS Jackson is fine, with a small painting crack on the headstock. My latest CS Jackson has two big screw holes in the bridge pickup cavity throughout the body. I don't know why. For hot tone cooling? The rest of my Jackson CS collections are perfect.

The type and amount of flutter is all in the springs you use....has nothing to do with the bridge.

I returned a Fender Professional 2 Precision Bass for far worse flaws. Every screw was wonky in the pickguard. One screw was so bad it broke the wood wall into the electronics cavity. The truss rod hole was offside. The pickguard was lifting and warped. An 61 SG I looked recently had a truss rod cover that was clearly wonky. These things would annoy me for life.

there was an RR1 on the wall when my mom took me for my first guitar in 1985 at like $400-$500. She bought me a Lotus strat copy. I still want one but not at the vintage price point and not at the craftmanship of the lower dollar models. I stick with my Ibiees

It was not done by a cnc machine. It was hand made. If you wanted a cnc made guitar such as that Ibanez bass you said is perfect then that’s all you buddy lol. Original 50s and 60s models were worse and equivalent to that cost you are crying about. Your video made me die of laughter I appreciate it. I was expecting something severe, however you’re crying about minuscule nitro issues…

Gibson's prices these days require absolute perfection. Until everyone starts demanding that, they'll just keep raising the prices for "luck of the draw" instruments. It took me going through a dozen of the LP Special P90 TV Yellow models before I got one that still only met two out of five criteria that I wanted. I bought two of the Epiphone versions that did better. That's ridiculous!

I really don't care if it flutters. It's not something that adds any musical value to anything, in my opinion. I have my GOTOH set up with enough tension that it doesn't flutter, on purpose.

Volume pull pot is the preamp bypass. Its the usual for Warwicks. The Reverso doesnt have the usual wenge neck that would make it stamd out. Its just a funky shaped P bass with a Buzzard headstock.

That's a beautiful bass! I'm usually more into Fender/Music Man type basses (not necessarily those brands but the classic style). But I always had a sweet-spot for Warwick. Not only because my roots are close to where they're made, I love so much more about them. The distinctive sound, the craftsmanship, and the original style that stands out but doesn't look flashy. They feel awesome and they work for so many different styles of music but still keep their own strong and distinctive character. It's _the_ Warwick bass in my opinion, and yours is one of the most beautiful examples. Thanks for sharing!
