Ive just booked with TUI for this hotel for September paid just over 1000. Tui call this 4 star
That is maybe more reasonable to be 4 star, but the actual Hotel is classed as a 5 star in general. Many people, as I explained in the video really did enjoy this Hotel and the Food. Food is very subjective, so just because we didn't think it was 5 stars doesn't mean someone else will feel the same. However, I wanted to video our experience as this place is definitely not for everyone. Thanks so much for watching and have a wonderful Holiday.

The taverna food looked delicious. All inclusive food is OK but it's nice to eat out once or twice for something a bit more authentic and fresh. Loved both your outfits all through these vlogs. You both looked lovely xx
Aw thanks about our outfits, that's lovely of you to say. The dresses from George at Asda definitely saved me and to be honest they were so cheap. It's good to have meals out, All Inclusive can be fantastic but when it's not, it does make you remember the times we have gone out for meals and experienced more culture. X

Yes it was lovely, I think overall I preferred Argostoli - the Capital though. I do understand what you mean about All Inclusive Holidays, not for everyone. To be honest we only did one when Emily was little and always gone self catering, until last year. Also one holiday many years ago just us as a couple before Emily where we did All Inclusive. We have been swayed much more to do with price, given Emily is a teen and all those things they want to have on holiday from drinks, snacks and eating as much as we can!, all adds up. Then you have to think of the type of accommodation you can get with self catering, some places especially in Greece are pretty basic. We were thinking of Lassi as a resort in Kefalonia, self catering...so you never know for next time!. Corralejo/Fuerteventura...that would be telling!. Thanks for watching!.
What is the white night? Is this a regular activity, ie every 2 weeks?
Hi there, I think from memory it was once a week but it will be subject to change. You can wear white if you have white. Mainly singers and dancing for the night and it's overlooking the main pool with white balloons across the pool area etc. It was a good evening.

We always stay in the same 3* all inclusive in fuerteventura its really cheap and we love it the food looks similar to what you got but if I was at a 5* and paid 5* prices I would not be so happy and would expect so much more. The place we stay in fuerteventura the reviews are awful in trip advisor and we panicked the first time before we went but we've been back 4 times now. Hope your next holiday is more successful and also hope your feeling better health wise now x
Well said Tracey!, you see if you get a 3 star Hotel that get's it right for you and what you have paid, then it's a winner. I think that was my issue with the reviews, 5 star status and what we have paid - I just expected better!. Although reviews are great in most cases, clearly there are some instances where not everyone is right. This Hotel regular has 5 star reviews, but some 1 stars coming through with similar things to what we have said. Really sad, the place is beautiful and the Hotel has real potential to be a true 5 star!, if only the Food and Service especially was improved. I'm not feeling well at all I will be honest but a mixture of a virus and something else that keeps happening to me!, thanks for asking Tracey. I am so glad I got ahead with my videos! - see you on the next one tomorrow, A Day in the Brownie Life in Kefalonia - think you will enjoy this one, just a normal day with us on holiday, really enjoy filming that type of content. We visited the hotel from 12-19th june and stayed in 614 which i think was building 12 overlooking the Asterias pool and over the sea towards zante. We have booked again for next year but for 10 days instead of 7. Ive stayed all over greece but Kefalonia is hands down my favourite
Thanks for watching and your comments. We will definitely return to Kefalonia, just not the Hotel, but we did hear many guests say they would return. For us if we had to compare to the Aquila Rithymna Beach Hotel in Crete 5 star Hotel we stayed in last year, there is no comparison - the Hotel in Crete would win!. The Apollonion Asterias although beautiful, for us personally just didn't get it right with the food mainly, but drinks and also service let it down. As, I say though plenty of people re-book there and it has good reviews on trip advisor (some not so good reviews are coming through more recently on trip advisor with very similar comments to us). I do agree though with Kefalonia in general was stunning and maybe next time we would stay somewhere a bit more Greek, maybe self catering and eat out to experience more of the Greek culture. I suspect I'm not the only one watching this video thinking: how much did it cost? Considering your comments, rather too much, i suspect.
Hi Jason, I absolutely don't mind advising what we paid - I suppose money for things is also subjective, someone might think expensive and others might not. In our opinion, this holiday cost too much for what we got for it - we paid £2700 for the 3 of us (including a free child place) for 7 nights All Inclusive. I suppose our comparison would be, we paid less for our Crete and Turkey holidays which were definitely more 5 stars, especially Aquila Rithymna Beach Hotel in Crete for it's Food, Drinks, Service and Accommodation. I just feel considering this included a free child place, so if we had gone on a different day and not got a free child place and paid a third more, which some people might have paid...gosh pricing up further away places in the Caribbean and luxury resorts like Maldives we wouldn't be paying much more!. For us, Holidays are what we save all our money for, as that's what we choose to do, but equally we always try to look at value or at least where we pay for expensive holidays, we would at least expect an overall package to match the money we have paid for it.

For the Accommodation part out of the two, I would say Side Star, Turkey is better. For the actual room - likely the Apollonion Asterias, Kefalonia is better - but you don't go on holiday just for a room!, so overall the Side Star Turkey!. However, Kefalonia itself as an Island without doubt we will return due to it's beauty, whereas Side in Turkey likely we may not return. Thanks for watching.

Ola, in English I believe you are asking which Hotel we preferred this one or the Side Star in Turkey and which had the better food?. From the last 3 All Inclusive Hotels we have visited in this last year, First would be Crete (Aquila Rithymna Beach Hotel, Rethymno), then Side Star Resort in Turkey and then the Apollonion Asterias Resort & Spa in Kefalonia. In fairness it looks like a decent hotel maybe not 5 * but nice enough. Other places I've seen you stay in other videos have seemed much more luxurious with better food options. But holidays are what you make it and it looked like you's had a ball x

Have a wonderful time when you go!. We all really miss Corralejo...we have been going for over 20 years!. Camera I used will have been my Vlogging Camera - Sony DSC-WX500. Since going to Fuerteventura, I now have a DJI camera, which is great. We have recently come back from Kefalonia and there are videos up on our channel from our trip, I have used my Sony Vlogging Camera and DJI camera on those videos. In some holiday videos or when we have done trips to Disneyland Paris, we have also used a really old home video camera - that we tend to use and keep for our home memories, so sometimes I swap between 3 different cameras!, which I do for our Disneyland Paris vlogs - we have a 2nd channel, Disney Brownies for that. If you like holiday videos, we have lots on this channel though, The Brownie Life from Turkey, Crete, Fuerteventura and now Kefalonia!. Thanks for watching and for your comments. What is there to do outside the walls of the hotel? Any tavernas? Shops? Historic buildings? Is it in the middle of nowhere?
Pretty much nothing around, except a couple of Tavernas. Lixouri is the nearest place, 10 mins in a taxi and cost 13 Euros each way - so we did that also, but nothing much very close to the Hotel. We take you all for a walk outside the Hotel in The Day in the Brownie Life video coming next week. Friday is our Review, a talking review of our opinion of the Hotel. Nothing historic around, that's why we explored the Island of Kefalonia, as so many beautiful places to see outside the Hotel, so glad we did that and took in the sights, stunning Island!. A five star hotel where the adults have to share a bedroom with the children. Hmm. Not terribly private. For a 5* hotel, I would expect separate bedrooms. Very informative vlog, however.
Thanks for your comments Jason, valid points but unfortunately many Hotels and yes even, 5 star ones don't always have separate sleeping areas, especially when just a 3rd person. We often find this and just one of those things...some places you will get a separate room but even if you do it will be more money. To be fair some self catering places can be more accommodating than Hotels in the sleeping arrangements. Thanks for watching.

I have stayed here a couple of time the rooms are amazing and so is the breakfast. The only thing to let it down is the everning meals they have.
Thanks for watching and yes agree the rooms & breakfast are great, a wonderful Hotel to stay in when in Blackpool. We didn't eat evening meals, as we had meals so can't comment on the other food/menu's etc.

Great informative video! Me and my family are making our first trip do Disneyland Paris and you've given us some really helpful stuff, especially the CIV ticket, i will definitely be looking into that. Can I ask, after going through passport control at St Pancreas, what shops/food & drink choices are there? We are going to be catching the 7.04 train to disneyland so will be up very early and thinking if it would be better to get some food to take with us the night before or just get something once we are checked in.
Hi there and thanks so much for watching, so glad I could be of help. Firstly, if you want to see anymore Disneyland Paris content check out our 2nd channel - Disney Brownies, lots of videos on there and 2 videos going up every week from our Spring trip this year. So, we have never caught as early train as that from London to Disney so it's hard for me to advise as to what will be open/available. We usually get food/meal deals from Boots in Kings Cross or Food from M&S in St Pancras just before we check in and then we know the food will be ok to still eat as soon as we get on the Eurostar, BUT I am not sure whether those places will be open prior to your departure. TOP TIP if you do buy food before you depart, double check the boards in the departures to check your Eurostar is on time, so you can judge when to buy the food or it might be in your bags much longer than you think. There really isn't much when you get through past security, just a couple of cafe (Pret)/bars - which from experience can be packed. Sometimes, you can get a seat at the bar - but we only buy drinks and they are quiet pricey. Personally, I think your best bet would be to buy ahead or make things ahead and pop into a little cooler pack or something if you think you might need and then you are good to go when on the Eurostar. Having said that I would think there will be something open in Kings Cross/St Pancras. By the way, there is a good Greggs in Kings Cross and a Pret. Thinking of timewise though you will be needing to check in 5.30am ish...not sure what will be open. Just looking at some websites for you and Pret within St Pancras, this is the one after security appears to be open 5.30am and Sunday 6am. stpancras.com/eat-drink/pret-a-manger If you look on St Pancras website it shows what eateries they have but not many are actually through security, think it is only Pret. Greggs in Kings Cross might be open, but think other places will be a bit later after you check in. Hope any of this helps you further. Thanks again for watching!. I literally was in primark today and didn't see any Rita ora things at all. You should definitely get a bikini. I'm around your size and age and I wear bikinis abroad (wouldn't wear one In the uk) I tend to go for tankinis or high waisted tho. Love that wrist cuff I need to go find one. X
Hi Tracey, think often Primark gradually introduces into each stores. Also sometimes you can find they then bring some more new things out after the initial range. I should have gone back for the jewellry I mentioned, I loved the wrist cuff and bracelets but I forgot!. How long does it take to walk to the Town
Just outside hotel there is an area, with shops, restaurants, cafes, bars etc. Starting just a few minutes walk from Hotel and you can walk down the stretch of places. To get to Rethymno you need bus like we did. Thanks so much for watching.

We had lovely weather in Kefalonia but not overpowering heat, which think they have had since. Aw thanks Tracey, yes I am so glad I kept it!...I think I thought the 2 black and cream ones were similar but they are not in other ways and I really liked it. So comfy to wear, definitely recommend some of the dresses from George at Asda/Asda Direct, seem good quality and as I have mentioned I hardly paid anything for them. Just an FYI the Old Town and the Fort were built by the Venetians during their occupation of Crete in the 1200’s. The fort provided a lookout point for pirate ships run by moslem pirates which made it a habit to raid islands in the Mediterranean and a point of safety where the residents of the old town would lock themselves in if a pirate raid was detected by the lookouts. There are underground shelters and store rooms where supplies were kept if the people had to shelter from a raid. These areas have been closed off for safety reasons due to their age and the effects of the German occupation during WWII. Life here is a mix of both the good and frustrating. Glad you enjoyed our city!

Hi great haul today. I liked the white and green swimsuit best I’ve had swimsuits from M and S before and they do wash well and will last. I can never find my size in Primark 😂. The offer was fab and will come in handy on your hols. Have a fantastic time. 😀🏖️🌞
Yes sizing can be difficult in Primark but you have to look around diff stores as well. Pack with me video live on channel & Holiday vlogs start next week. I kept the green & white costume from m&s, so comfy on hols. Thanks for watching x
