I paid for over half the car in cash, got a sub %5 Apr on the remaining balance. Buying outright is only smart when you have a ton of disposable income, not many do and i especially didn’t at that time so I chose to finance like a majority of Americans purchasing a car through a dealership. Maybe just maybe I had a negative experience and you didn’t, my experience was with my store and you got yours from your store. I’m very well versed in purchasing cars, finances and how this all works. The car was dirty, the company was shady and that’s that. I’m shipping a car roughly 800 miles across at least 3 states. I got an estimate of 14 days shipping as well. The first few days went fine and the movements and updates on the tracker were frequent. Then all of a sudden the car got to a town very close to the border of its state of origin, and hasn’t moved again for 4 days. How many days was it for you to have the car ready to be bought? I know you said you didn’t show up for an additional 3 or 4 days, but discounting that, how long was the transfer process? Thanks

@E36tylerАй бұрын
Woah whatsup, rarely do I talk with someone else that ones a DV E36 M3! All depends on mileage and condition but generally speaking I’d say most of them that are left in decent shape are all worth $15k+ plus purely based on color. If you have an extremely rare DV on black (opposed to dove) I’d say it’s worth way more because the production numbers were much lower.
@mmichelson3Ай бұрын
@@E36tyler thanks, I have been following your channel for a long time because you were the only guy I ‘knew of’ that also had the color. came across your video. watch my on-track race videos and watch how much my shifter moves (side-to-side) while in gear. I have the same problem as you. I have a fix / solution to get rid of ~90% of the play. The side-to-side play is not from the trans detents, the play is coming from to 2 pin joints is the stock shift rod, and the DSSR shift rod. This is clearance on the pins for both shift rod. This clearance causes shift level play. The is also clearance and play in the connector to the trans selector shaft. I have a fixed to get rid of ~90% of this play. It is custom made part I am thinking to sell. More details to follow if you are interested. a comment about the plastic bushing that goes around the spherical part of the shift level, and into the shift carrier. These are push insert, and twist to lock. They are removable without much fuss if you engage the notches from the underside, turn to release the detent, and then push out. There is special tool to do this = various companies sell it. Lots of grease and or oil on this help assembly and disassembly.

(I did express pick up so it was really quick I got there at 10:05am and was out by 11:15am would’ve been out sooner but was having issues with my bank card) My car is 2022 and only had 6850 miles on it. I’m so in love. The guy I originally worked with a month prior to picking up the car was off on my pick up day but reached out to me to make sure everything was good. They called me quite often to check on me prior to pick up as well. I did get my car in Ohio and drove it back home to NC. It was $250 to transfer it and only $70 to fly so I figured I’d just go pick it up lol (I picked up the car a week and a half ago 4/26/24). Let’s see how things go a few months from now. The cooling system is littered with plastic parts that become very brittle after 10 yrs or close to 100,000 miles and that take very extensive labor to replace including removing the intake manifold that is much harder than you would think! Until the entire cooling system is replaced these cars are bo where near bullet proof and are ticking time bombs for being stuck on the side of the road with a huge maintenance bill in your future!
