Love you Cameron! Glad to see you back on River City! You are a wee canny lad! I'm fae Easterhouse growing up and comedy got me out of a few tight spots 😉.... Yea girls fight too unfortunately. I'm not one of them thankfully but I can see the humour in the stupidity of it 👍😊

Honestly, when I first heard he would be in this, I was not all that excited but when you see Schwimmer's performance it really is brilliant. It would not have been what it was without Sobel being so captivating. Also, it is heartbreaking what happened to the real Sobel.

Wow. What a rare film footage. There's so little footage of the real persons. This vid is a gem. The best comic duo that ever was at least for me.

Just hearing the theme music still gives me goosebumps in 2024, there's something just very special and magical about the series, It was the greatest mini series of all time hands down and it's not even debatable

These men come from the greatest generation. Having served my country for 30 years. These warriors are who you want to be next to when your life is in danger. Warriors in combat and pure gentleman in life. The band of brothers is the ultimate tv of real war and the bond of combat and its real. Rest in peace men.

His his character in the series was surprising and for a person like me coming from a different perspective than most people, it made the character that much more awesome in the show. And played by pretty much the only person to play it. You see I hate Friends, I hate that goddamn show so much. I think it's unfunny and one of the most stupidest shows ever. I don't care if it was popular. So when David Schwimmer showed up in Band of Brothers, I was like "NOT THIS FUCKING GUY!". Then about 10 mins later it hit me, amd I thought it was perfect casting.

When Dick visited the set, the actors said when Winters looked up in the truck at those men, he was white faced. Most actors greatly resembled his brothers in arms. I can only imagine the flashbacks.

What a good man. They were all good men. He even took care of feral cats... “When I was kid, he would buy food and put out warm bedding for them in the winter. I never thought much about it at the time. After ‘Band of Brothers,’ he said to me, ‘Now you know why I feed the alley cats. I’ve been cold and hungry, and no one should have to feel those things. Not even a cat.’” (from his daughter, Trish)

Love the Waltons watched as a child, still watching as a 66 year old the repeats. All the characters on this show are wonderfully, my favorite was the mother and John boy and Mary Ellen. It's a comfort sitcom relaxes me, and keeps me going what ever is going on in my life, happy or sad.

Not only did Capt. Herbert Sobel jump into France on June 6, he along with 3 soldiers are credited with knocking out a German machine gun position. He also remained in France as long as the 506th did. Say what you will about what a bastard he was, and he was, the man did not lack courage under fire. RIP Sir and those Easy Co. guys came back to tell their stories because of your training and disipline you gave them.

According to Army records Capt. Herbert Sobel actually jumped into Normandy on June 6 and is credited along with 3 other men with knocking out a German machine gun position. He may have been hated by his men but the man assured most of them through his vigorous training and disipline that they had a shot at surviving the war. On top of that, the man did not lack courage under fire. He stayed in France as long as the 506th did and only came out after they were back in England. David was the perfect choice to play this man and nobody could've done it better.
