Welcome to my channel. My name is Mathias and have passion for cars and gaming. Im going to be uploading videos related to cars, in some way, either from simulation games like iRacing and Assetto Corsa, and videos about racing in the real world, both when I drive and video of others.
Im trying to combine the two worlds, to get more in to racing in the real world and in simulations or maybe in to modifying cars.
If you have a passion for cars or gaming (maybe both!) then I hope you like my content and wanna see more!
See you on the track in iRacing or ACC or maybe on a real track!

Thanks, just right for me getting ready for next round in MX 5 cup :) Also note to self: Turn 3 first lap will be a horror show ... maybe the whole track will be crash fest LMAO
Here is one channel that deserves more subs and likes. I'm not even close to this pace (turn 1-3 complex is hard to hit correctly and consistently) but you helped me go from 1:08 to 1:06.2. I'm even landing poles eventually on my splits (near the bottom of course lol). Thanks for this video and all the others!
no matter how i try on t3 always car is pushing to outside undesteering
Man i wish i could get into the 1:05's. Mt best so far this week is 1:06.1
the one dude just minding his business gets hit by dude with not front wheel 😂
1.17.843 i think thats my limit ;/
Love your guides. The drivers ar Daytona are dirty but this helped a lot
Always helpful. That’s T2/3 complex is a tough one for a beginner like me.
I feel your pain
Do you use H-pattern or using paddles for shifting ?
Atm i use paddles, because my H pattern stopped working and I have not gotten a new one yet
@@Erilla01 ok, just wandering if it makes a difference. Reddit makes it seems like using paddles is losing time . But you did ok
You only loose time when using auto clutch, other than that I would say its the same
@@Erilla01 thx
nice video .Clearly speaking and easy to understand.Love from china❤
Thanks Erilla - another great guide!
Does iRacing allow bump drafting? Or do you get 1x per touch?
If you do it gentle you can bump draft, if you hit hard then you will get a 1x
I cannot get under 2.10.5 But I'm overslowing the last chcane
This track drives me crazy. The curves 1, 2, 3 combo is soooo tricky!
keep after it. ideally, you want to slide through 2-3 in one fell swoop. its tricky though
i was having lock-up problems in the first lap i found that i need to run 52% on the first lap and start increasing it to around 55 2 of the corners have VERY hard braking zones
@@buschenterprises4788 sorry for the question, but what does 52% mean? Thanks in advance!
@@HectorYague they are referring to brake balance
@@HectorYague 52% brake bias this helps keep the front brakes from locking up until the tires warm up. then you can increase it up to as high as 56% and get more aggressive on brake timing (brake a little later)
ty
What wheel/pedals are you using? Great driving btw!
I have the old csl elite base the belt driven one and v1 of the csl elite pedals and just the standart full rim for csl elite belt driven base
Thanks mate !
Thanks man
Thank you!
Nice guide bro, thx a lot!
Thank you. Really appreciate your efforts in putting these together so often.
Thanks man, great explanation
Unfortunately despite quite the investment in time/practice and equipment I can not even approach these kinds of times. Getting to be more frustration than enjoyment at this point especially when someone with a few weeks experience immediately starts driving away from me like I am standing still. I don't know if its my ability in general or I am doing something very wrong but I am close to just setting the whole thing aside at this point. No problem though I have a real miata to drive and it most definitely will cheer you up when you take it for a drive even on city streets and way cheaper than xanax.
I get that with the miata, it always cheers me up taking out my IS200, I totally agree on you with that one. With the racing have you tried with a tool like garage61, and compared your lap to mine or others? And it can for sure be a setting, but that really depends on the setup you have, and I get the frustation, that will take the fun out of racing
Been there as well in my first month and then just watched a lot of videos and spent more time practicing. Suellio Almeida has some good instructional videos online. Now I am getting pretty competitive in C-class races. I am now myself trying to dabble in Garag61 to figure out where my laps can get better. But there are days where driving my Mach1 in autocross beats Iracing any day haha keep it up man!
@@silver_bullet92 At 58 it could vary well be my diminishing abilities. I was always on the below average side when it came to sports even when I was a kid. Sometimes God will give you all the desire in the world to do something and then not give you the ability to do it. Back when I went to Catholic schools in the 70s they use to call that "the mystery of God". I just call it a dirty trick
🙏
Turn 6 is much faster when you downshift to 1st gear
I'll try that next time
hi mate, may I ask what your FOV and cockpit camera settings are? I'd like to try them because they look good on my screen... I am quite new to iracing, started in April. Thank you.
My FoV is 116. I have not done anything with the camera, and my settings is drive.google.com/file/d/1zQp2K_mS1AfcBS9NgBkhlZmvq5fi05DR/view?usp=sharing if you want, hit me up if you want to know anything els :)
after watching your track guide I just won 2 races in a row... I was going round corners in first gear instead of second and the chicane kind of area leading up to the final corner/straight i was not going round it full throttle... my lap times were 1.23 and now i am getting 1.21 every lap.
Great work, that is awesome
Man, wtf this game, i just make it the same line of yours and gaves me 1 Second, 1.34.3
It’s not about the line. It’s about the management of weight transfer! This is done through braking and engine braking on turn entry. Just hitting the same marks is just the start of learning the lap. Do you trail brake? Are you gentle on steering into the corner and hard on the exit? How smooth are your inputs? The physics in iRacing are extremely complex but accurate. Notice how he doesn’t turn the steering too much on entry. He uses the brakes and a little steering to rotate the car. Then hard steering and throttle to stop that rotation and track out. Also, the car is very oversteery throughout his lap! It allows him to control the rotation of the car much easier. It’s going to take a lot of practice to make this time. Just keep at it!
Came here to say that thanks to this I took qualifying pole, took first (by 16.2seconds) and set fastest lap!
How much power and gear ratio on this mx5? 1st gear 90kph is a long 1st gear.
I cant find anything about the gearing in iracing, but the its 181 hp @7000.
@Erilla01 cool thanks for the info.. they must be a 5speed? Also what does it weigh.. I'm just comparing to my honda accord lol
Its a 6 speed and they weigh 892kg.
@Erilla01 oh interesting.. yeah must be a long ratios. That makes sense. I'm at 1300kg but about 220hp
Must have guide again my friend. I'm back this week with a loadcell brake and braking much closer to your points now! I have a particularly hard time picking up on braking points when there aren't clear markers and your little brown patches and tire marks are a life saver.
Very helpful and well explained!
Thank you
On the spot as always
Thanks for this thorough track guide! Can't wait to get back home to try improving lap times by using your braking points
It’s insane how you do this on fixed setup, I’m trying this car on this track for the first time and I’ve done 5 laps and cannot match that line at all, I’m somehow reaching 4th gear most time you’re reaching max 3rd
Is there a corner you have in mind, or part of track?
@@Erilla01Well I realised I was using the 2010 mx5 and that’s why I was so slow 😂, I did a couple races in the car in the video and managed to get 2 poles and a win in rookie because of your guide, so thank you for that, however, I am struggling with the flow through 7, 8 and 9 and it’s costing me 7 tenths apparently
Ah then it makes alot of sense 🤣 Keep at it! gg on the win
@@Erilla01 Thankfully I’ve moved up to class d now and bought the Ferrari and mugello 👍
Thanks
nice video, thanks mate
Hey man! a few days ago I started playing iRacing, and since then I've been practicing with this car on this track. However, even on the start-finish straight, when I press the throttle fully, I can only reach a maximum of 100 kph. How can I fix this issue?
Assuming you're shifting through all the gears with no problem, I would check your units and see if you're not using imperial, 100mph is pretty close to 160kph. If that's fine, you might have to do the pedal calibration either in Windows or in-game.
As said by r2rovas, check those things first, either than that its really hard to say with out data
hi just wanted to know which shift aid do you use
Non I shift and blip my self :)
@@Erilla01 just got my first win cuz of this guide thanks broda
Great guide man! Thank you!
