  And to answer about Klook- we booked the Mt Batur hike via look for 3 people. So it is 200 per geared for solo travellers as well.

  Why do you hike through Tengboche twice when there is a splendid High Scenic Trail on the opposite side of the valley via Mong La - Phortse - Pangpoche? Magnificent views high across the valley, lots of wildlife and practically no other trekkers. Only come down via Tengboche.

  @@shahstraveldiaries.followo6024 That is the problem with (Nepalese) agencies, no innovation not even trying to offer something extra. Of course the client can say which route to use if it is a custom trek. Sometimes even then guides try to make excuses like "ice on trail, landslides, lodges not open etc to avoid less travelled trails. Want to use familiar lodges only where they get kickbacks is the true reason.

  Sorry to say, but there is a much more impressive high trail on the opposite side of the valley. The Mong La - Phortse - Pangpoche High Scenic Trail offers vastly better views, lots of wildlife and hardly any trekkers. Tengboche can be visited on the way down. It is amazing most trekkers miss this more adventurous option and just hike the same highway twice.
