honestly, why wouldn't Ethan want Olivia to go back to what he grew up with? It completely served him. He would not have to cook, clean or raise kids. He could do his work and tinker with his cars and not actually have to be responsible to/for anyone. Also i found it so ironic that Ethan was uncomfortable acting like nothing was wrong around Moriah in that 2nd to last episode even though Olivia felt the same way about Micah and Ethan did not support/understand her with that. The hypocrisy and misogyny is insane. Honestly, I think the perfect woman for Ethan is a blow-up doll that way he wouldn't have to talk at all or deal with a spouse who has a brain.

Fyi the comments by the obvious fundie people trying hard to knock Olivia down are hilarious. Closed minded and brainwashed sticks out like a huge sore thumb. Save typing with those big sore fundie thumbs because Olivia knows her future children will be loving and open minded like she is. We watched the sister wives show crumble and the Plaths fundie group is going to deconstruct and all these kids and Barry and Kim are also going to crumble in the public eye.

Seriously,I agree with those other comments and am not “fundie” not by any stretch of the of the imagination. For someone raised by a covert Narc, I had ptsd triggers watching Olivia. I’m not saying Kim is any different, in fact I think they are very much alike. I don’t believe for a minute she was this sweet innocent DIL victim. She definitely influenced Ethan’s siblings against his family. She dropped breadcrumbs all along from the beginning to “de program” them. She never truly loved Ethan nor respected him. The respect was not mutual and I’m happy Ethan can live his life the way he wants and without guilt, shame or manipulation. Respect goes both ways. Good riddance Olivia!

I have so much respect for Olivia. She is such a great energy, had shown she is wise beyond her yesrs and is so progressive and open minded. She has shown that you can get through that kind of programming and do the inner work and bloom into a wonderful woman who is so accepting that there was no fixing this. It was time to cut from the crazy Path train. Also note to producers it is time to stop funding those Plath groomers. Get rid of the show it isnt entertaining it is disturbing how this whole family is messed up. It accomplished that anyone interested in dating any of those kids should watch this show and run far away fast. Great comfortable interviewing Mary Payne.

Everyone's path is their own, Olivia has her path.. she seems happy and that's great. She also needs to respect everyone else's. If she left her culture and went out in to the world, and enjoys it and doesn't want to go back home, that's great, you like it we love it. But she doesn't have the right to decide that the "reason" the Plath kids went back home was because it was "too hard" in the world. Everyone's experience is different. If they had their experience and decided they appreciate the values and lifestyle they grew up in, that's perfectly fine for that person. If you pay attention to what Moriah said, she went through a process, found who she is, who she wants to be, and that person is living where she chooses while embracing her roots and her faith, that is ok. It's no one's to judge. Including Olivia's. Olivia and Ethan are both still young and have a lot to experience and learn, especially how to move through relationships with people. That comes with maturity down the line. This conversation here was a bit toxic but hopefully she will move past it. We all thought we knew it all at this age, but they have so much ahead they don't know about, and with that experience will come wisdom and the power to know you will live all of your life having a lot to learn. None of us will ever know it all. Having gone through a divorce from a 24 year relationship, it's not easy to restart your life, but they are young and have already landed back on their feet, at some point, you have to stop reliving that part of your life and turn the page so you can grow and evolve. One thing we want to wish for all of them is peace and happiness, and as a family, the Plath's should do all that they can to reunify and rebuild because they went through a very tough time, publicly, and anytime a family can heal and come together, you want to support that. There is enough divide in this world as it is today.

Who does Olivia think she is, so what if the family wanted Kim to be there, guess what Olivia, Kim had that right. No, I am not a fan of Kim and I can't stand her, but Olivia lost my support for her. You expected Mariah and Micah to keep their selves away from the family because you were, I think you are spiteful. I don't care what the Olivia fan club thinks or feels. Olivia move on quit bashing. Great interview. Olivia is so strong and wise beyond her years. I can’t wait to see what’s next for her. I got married young to a man that also had a mother that far too involved in our relationship. She would constantly cross boundaries, emasculating my husband, and put herself in the middle of our relationship. It was especially weird because she didn’t do that to his younger brother and his relationship. It was hard because I didn’t have the self confidence or the life experience to navigate that kind of manipulation and it was at a time pre social media (just the beginning of MySpace) so they’re wasn’t content talking mental health and therapy or about how we, as women can empower ourselves and don’t have to put up with someone’s manipulation just because they’re an elder. The language just wasn’t readily available. Our marriage only lasted 2 years and I was so embarrassed that it only last that long and felt like a failure. As hard as it was time at the time, 15 years later I’m so glad I got away and was able to grow as women and learn my worth.

Lol, refusing to educate her children and using her children to avoid housework and childcare isn't "living" for her children. Power, obedience, and control are fickle and unfortunately in her efforts to obtain these from her children, she fell into a cult that told her she could take away the carrot and beat them with a stick to obtain these things. She changed because she realized she lost and had to change tactics to the "fun" mom. Alcoholism is a tragic disease that magnifies a person's selfishness and blinds them to their own shortcomings.
