  If patient has a deductible and also a coinsurance, they’re deductible has to first be met before the coinsurance metric kicks in correct? - love your videos btw

  Hi can you explain how the Billed amount is calculated and what you mean by the amount that is “written off” is there any tax ramifications or is it just a “discount” for the services being in network?

  The billed amount is determined by the provider. They can use resources like fairhealth.org to create their internal fee schedules for their services. The write off/adjustment amount is a discount for being an in network/participating provider. There are no tax ramifications.

  Hello, I've been CPC certified since Sept 2015, I've been doing medical billing since 2017. I was wondering, do you think (with the amount of years doing billing & being a coder already) I should purchase the whole CPB course? Or just the Exam w/practice exams & study guide? There's a big money difference LOL. Would love to know your thoughts. Thank you!♥ P.S. what if my computer is set up in the living room, does that not work? I can close the front door lol

  Hello and thank you for your question. With your education and work experience, I think it’s fine for you to purchase the exam voucher with practice exams & study guide. The CPB exam is challenging even with billing experience, but if you’re able to score above 80% on all 3 of the practice exams you’re ready to take the exam. Wishing you all the best! Come back and let me know how your exam experience was.❤️ P.S. I recommend that you call AAPC and speak with a representative about requirements such as the room you’ll take the exam in. Your other option is to take it at a testing site in your state. Hope this helps!
