We fish, we hunt, and we try our best to stay outdoors. I aim to capture quality footage of beautiful landscapes all while sharing our story along the way. Follow our young family as we grow and enjoy everything that the outdoors has to offer.
Did you have to tap into the second quart of primer or did the 1 cover it?

How long does it take to paddle from the Wilson’s cut launch out to that shell beach you mentioned? Seems like a decent ways…
@SchwindOutdoorsАй бұрын
With good wind conditions, you can paddle there in about 20 minutes. You just have to watch the wind while you're out there. It can be a challenge getting back if it picks up!

Love the skiff and that you took your kid. I also have a 2.5 year old son and I can’t wait to take him out fishing like this! Wish I had the time to build one from scratch like you did. Cheers from FL.

I really like your video on the break down of these spots. i grew up fishing most of those spots but have moved about 20+ years ago and return to fish several times a year there. I am always looking for new spots but seeing your video gives me the reassurance that I can still go back a tackle those areas again and catch fish. THANKS!!!!!!

I know this video is a year old... I just found it. I'm wondering if maybe a long strip of UHMW slippery plastic wouldn't work well as a rub rail? I've used the stuff to line belly skids on offroad vehicles before. It's very durable stuff and relatively inexpensive in strip form. Just thinking out loud... Both nice skiffs.. great job!

That's awesome you were able to take out your very own boat for it's maiden voyage!! I've contemplated building my own boat for many years, but I always jump way too deep into projects and I've talked myself out of it many times. Glad your boat worked out well for you and was more stable than you originally thought it would be.

Catching no fish at wilsons on a hot summer day sounds impossible. You were probably fishing the channels. They don't hold much fish in the summer

you should always have an engine bolted on so it doesn't fling itself off very dangerous not to or at least have a strip of wood to keep it from sliding up while turning

@SchwindOutdoors10 ай бұрын
Thank you! The registration process isn't too crazy here. You first have to get it inspected by a Game Warden. Make sure you save receipts for the materials, as they will ask for them. This link will take you to a document that explains everything that you will need. chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/tpwd.texas.gov/fishboat/boat/owner/titles_and_registration/New%20From%20Dealer-Manufacturer%20or%20New%20Homemade.pdf

My first time Kayaking and this Kayak held strong. kzread.infoUgkx4k5UrhC3v_Y4hIEaXLGvHcN5a5aBmZNB The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized). The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!
