what great writing. this is as intricate as something Tolstoy would write, in my opinion.

shit, I just saw the episode was called "all happy families..." that's a direct tribute to Tolstoy. The very first sentence of Anna Karenina, in fact. Wow, uncanny.

We all miss him dearly , he was a tortured genius that showed love through his art and entertainment , once in a lifetime beautiful human being , i remember listening to the day he died on the car radio and i had to pull over to shed a few tears

I really loved him but his comedy was little exaggerated for me ! But he was great ! can’t really believe what he did 🥲I am sure he didn’t want us see him like Bruce Willis is now 🥲🥲🥲🥲

Such a great interview, I had not seen this one before. Clive is good at bouncing off him and letting him run also. Damn I miss robin in this world.

He must be such a pleasure to interview, you don't have to do any homework, ZERO preparation, just turn him loose and Robin does it all himself, does he ever turn off? he burned too bright, like a shooting star, he burned himself out, we were lucky to be here to see him flashing across our lives

Robin really was a force of nature! It's like a great jazz musician riffing and improvising, going off in all sorts of directions but always coming back to the original theme. What a great man, much missed.

I actually did have the opportunity of meeting Robin in 1981. We were on a business trip and it was the last night and so we were doing what all over promoted 22-year-olds do we were hitting the clubs and getting loaded. And we were in the comedy club, and he came out Walked right off the stage and into the audience and started going to the table as he chose and making comments and he got to our table and he asked me where I was from and I said Joliet Illinois to which he replied, not quite the end of the world, but you can see it from there. To this day and I am 66 years old. There is not a time when anyone in our family is asked where we’re from that we don’t reply Joliet Illinois not quite the end of the world but you can see it from there. It was one of the best nights of my life. it broke my heart when he died. It was just a year after I lost my dad and at that point I don’t think I ever felt so alone.

It’s crazy to think. The reason he was so funny was because he was sad and felt unrelated to people. Then he passed. I think the one thing to take away is. Look deeper into people ask questions, listen, feel and be open to what they have to say. He is missed.
