No bike sounds like a British triple. Cheers from NZ.

Only one thing better sound of a trident/rocket 3 and that's 2 riding together you get that great droning sound with engine's almost in sink then just let it rip

I could weep thinking of my old T150. You know, one mistake on many of those curves would wipe a dozen people out. I probably wouldn't stand at the apex of a corner spectating.

A triple on song, pretty much regardless of the maker, is one of the most marvelous engine sounds. 3, 6, and 12 seem to be magic for engine note.

Much higher exhaust note pitch than my Triumph T150--what rpm are these bikes turning?
@snibor9910 жыл бұрын
Hi ... pulling between 8500RPM and 9000RPM ... its a lot louder in real life ... 4inch open mega clip below is the R3 on the dyno ... RPM is centre clock and rear wheel road speed top centre in MPH BSA Rocket 3 on the Dyno Before Manx GP Isle of Man 2012

87 rear wheel but Dynos are notoriously inaccurate .. i wasn't on there to test the max HP but get the engine tuned (especially carburation using 33mm amals to produce the maximum number with a nice smooth curve HTH

So is this a long stroke engine? The threes have such a nice sound. I have an A65 with 89mm stroke and I'm wondering what the limitations are on rpm with it. Weather I can spin it past 8,000, I've dynode it to 7,600. The crank is 90degree so the dynamic load would be less than the std arrangement. It has forged pistons and chrome rings in a nicasil bore.
