Welcome to my channel! I’m Zoe, I’m 17 and I’ve always had a passion for animals. I’m studying to become a vet + working at a vet clinic currently. I own a male long haired Syrian hamster named Moose, two birds-Sky and Kiwi, and a leopard gecko named Toast! I’ve owned 6+ hamsters and I don’t plan on ever not having a hamster 🐹 I’m dedicated to helping spread proper small animal care + providing entertaining videos as well. I make content on hamsters mostly (and leopard geckos). I post every Sunday once a week! Love you all :)

My hamster burrows and sleeps all day in her first 2 days and I've only seen her 2-3 times, is that normal ?
Yes, that’s completely normal! Give her a good couple days-to a week to properly settle in. And just let her be, she’ll come out when she’s ready and then you can start working with her💙🐹

Where did you get the velco
I get my Velcro from either Home Depot or Walmart. I just look for "industrial Velcro" and usually on the package it comes in, it'll say "can hold 10+ pounds". That's how I know it should work with my water bottles!

I got my old bin from Home Depot! It’s the 200 qt (50 gallon) sterilite bin 💖

That is not a proper parrot diet at all. Parrots (with the exception of lorikeets), should have a diet made of atleast 60% veggie chop alongside healthy pellets such as TOP's or Harrsion's. Elleandthebirds,BirdTricks, and FlockTalk have some great youtube videos on bird diet so I recommend checking them out. Plastic food/water dishes can also harbor bacteria so stainless steel dishes are a much better alternative.
By the way, I did not mean this comment in a hateful way this is just some constructive critism. I love your channel and you are really underrated!
Thank you for the constructive criticism! My budgies have been with me for a while, I’ve watched those channels before and I constantly make efforts to transition them to a healthier diet. Sadly I haven’t had a lot of luck, but on channels like the ones you listed, they usually recommend at least switching to a healthier dry food if your budgies are more picky and hard to transition-which I’ve done. They do get fresh veggies and fruit to try and help them grow out of their distaste for chop. I also use stainless steel water bowls now, this video is older so that might be why it doesn’t look like I do. Thank you 💙

What camera or phone do u use for recording ?
I just use my Iphone to record, I forget the model but it’s not one of the newer iphones either! I use a mini microphone (as you can see) to get better audio at some points in my videos💖

ur care is so good! the only thing i would say is the seed mix should be fine and hamsters actually don’t need pellets or lab blocks if the food is already balanced and it’s not recommended
also you should cut down on the salads! hamsters are very prone to diabetes and salads should be given once every week or two
this is wrong! ( no hate ofc) but the minimum is actually 700sq inches of floor space that info is so outdated
