Do you have any comments on the performance of the SRAM DB8 brakes? You did mention that for now you weren't considering an upgrade on them. Reason I am asking is twofold. Original specs on the current Rail 7 Gen 2 call for Shimano 4 piston hydraulic disc brakes, with a M6100 lever and M6120 calipers Local Trek dealer has a 2023 Trek Rail 7 Gen 2 in my size spec'd with the SRAM DB8 brakes. They are offering one hell of a sweet deal on this bike at $3800.00. Around 2018 I got fed up with Specialized, mostly because of their business practices. Working at a bike shop I got to see some messed up stuff. I swore I would never buy another Specialized again. Then I started researching E-Bikes and for me, Specialized made the best one. Their software, the motor and of course the platform these bikes were built on are just unmatched. I am happy to say I am back on the Specialized train and loving it. I've made several upgrades including a new I9 wheelset, Hope brakes, OneUp carbon bars, Deity stem and Maxxis Tires. The next upgrade I'm doing is 155mm Hope cranks because of the pedal strikes. I'm constantly hitting my pedals. Not hard, but enough I can feel it. Taking 5mm off should help that considerably.

Yes, that’s exactly what I noticed.
3:00 what brand are those lights and bracket ?
The lights are AI Blade grows and mount is HMS. Both are amazing, I’ll be doing a tank review video before the swap over.
@@ebikesandthings thanks! Makes the setup look super clean!
@@usmc187Thanks.
That is absolute torture. Hang in there. Patience will prevail.
Haha sure is! Especially when I took time off work made water and was trying to swap everything over. Oh well we will see how the third tank arrives.
Frustrating!, hang in there champ!
Yeah, just my luck. Hopefully I get a working tank soon.
Or get a proper bike
The bike I just built would cost a lot more buying from factory! I saved me a lot of money and made it how I like it.
@@ebikesandthingsi think he meant get a proper non- electrified bikes
Nice bike, disregard the roadie commenting on things he knows nothing about.
Begs the question, why not get a Kenevo in the first place?
It's too hard to get your hands on any specialized products reasonably. Source: I work for a dealer and can't order new bikes outside of very expensive xs bikes that nobody wants
@@Orney that’s crazy to think that specialized is a U.S company yet myself in the UK could pick up a Kenevo tomorrow
Very good point, couldn’t find any locally.
cascade link to get the rear suspension to 165 mm ?
Yes
Thanks for comments, I am shopping for a Levo now, maybe I will pass. If you could do it again what would you buy?
The bike itself is amazing! Just some of the components are junk. I would definitely buy a Levo.
I've been running 165mm x 180mm for 12 months
@@MTBBradley Niceeee! I guess I am number two lol.
Love it 🤩
Ah ha! This is the "AndThings" part of your channel name. 👍 Awesome!
Haha Yessirrrr! I have expensive hobbies.
It’s amazing!
Definitely night and day difference!
Sure is! Rides so different now.
New electric moped 🤡
Does the 230x65 vivid rub at full compression? I think the air can on the vivid is a few millimeters thicker than the x2. Also what size it your frame? Great content btw 👍🏽
Hi, I compressed it fully and no rub at all. And yes it’s a little thicker for sure. The frame is S4 (large).
@@ebikesandthings nice, I might have to try one of these 👍🏽
@@JoJo-yr6io Game changer! Feels like a coil.
You make look easy))
Haha I been doing it for a whileeeeeeeeeeee! It wasn’t easy at first.
Great Vid. Thanks fir sharing your experience.
Thanks good sir! Appreciate the sub.
Good work!
@@kalinivanov10 Thank you sir.
Nice setup👍👍 Do you have a link with this particular Vivid shock and Cascade? I have a Turbo Levo Expert 2023 model, this will fit on?
Thanks! I posted the links in the description. They will fit your model : )
