This is amazing filter, so easy to clean. Uv is really strong. Clean the pond in 2 weeks. Highly recommend these filters. I bought 8000. So happy with this product. Upgrade my second pond to Oase 18000 biotech screenamatic 2 . Love it to. Oase makes great stuff.
What size hose is the fitting for? 1/2”? 3/4”?
The fitting is 3/4" and fits the included 3/4" tubing
Can anyone confirm what happens when the mains power to the pump is lost and then restored? Does it remember the power level previously set or go back to default? Does the pump restart automatically or need to be turned on at the controller?
I have a fault e05, brand new, out of the box, try to clean rotor as they recommended I don't know why but anyway still not working and same fault e05
How do you turn on? Just plug in?
The filter operates from the power from the pump. The UV light gets plugged in to turn on.
I touch my water lily’s and they die and your cutting them with a knife lol
U really didnt have to reverse the fittings when attaching the waterfall ..
Thank you, I just ordered uv light and this helps when I install it.
Ok, but what size pump is needed, especially if we just want to just have a submersible pump attached to it
That depends on which size UV unit you needed. You can find the specs for each of the 3 sizes on our site: aquanooga.com/pondmaster-ultraviolet-units Thanks!
I'm interested in your Atlantic Flex PVC 2 inch tubing which I suspect was the larger black professional grade tube you showed here. What I can't find on the website is the outside & inside diameter of this "2 inch" tubing. Its all a bit vague & is preventing me from placing an order until I know its the same size as the tubing I'm replacing.

I have the Version 2 filter which has been fantastic. Expensive, but easy to clean and maintain and with a retro fit bottom drain it has kept my pond crystal clear and provided excellent water parameters. With regard to the UV, mine has been running now for 3 seasons, although I switch it off in the winter. I will change the lamp only when I start to see algae. I wouldn’t hesitate to upgrade when required. I have used cheaper versions and they are just a waste of money imo.
In uk the pump seems to have controller issues. This mainly appears due to folt codes Eo2 and Eo3. I found a few problems inside the controller. These are easy fixes for an electrical repair shop. NOT for the DIY person. I found if yoy keep the controller upright and dry thay seem to work better. Question is why dont Evolution Aqua have service repair centers or exchange units when thay fail ??????? Must say thay are good pumps but have issues.
Interesting. Haven't seen those issues yet. I would think Evolution Aqua would cover this under warranty if you reach out to them, we don't work directly with the UK team so I'm not sure their process.
I have the E02 error code on mine. Any ideas how to fix this please. Thanks
@@jaydogjulian69 I would try taking it back to the shop you got it from first. Then find a repair shop to fix it. I fixed mine myself but if your not into electrical circuits DON'T TRY IT YOURSELF.
Thanks for your help
@@jaydogjulian69 When I opened my folty unit up I found the transistors had com away from there heat sink and 2 capacitors had blown. I also noticed what looks like a reset micro switch on the board but I didn't try it. I would take the pump back and see what thay say as it not fit for purpose. It should last 10 years I would say.
Thank you you really explain very well thank you
Segurrrraaaaaa
i have a problem the included soilid pipe fittings seem smaller then 1inch and a half.
They are. If you want to run 1-1/2" PVC then you will use a separate fitting. As seen at the 2:58 mark. Thank you
8.5 is fine to be honest I wouldn't recommend putting chemicals to lower or increase the ph level stable 8.5 your good to go Barry
Thanks for the detailed disassembly/reassembly video, very helpful!
Glad it helped!
Hi, I have the 3000, a blue light came on on top of the unit as I lifted it out of the pond, do you happen to know what this indicates please?
The blue light is the indicator for the UV light. When the blue light is on, the lamp is glowing. It should be illuminated at all times. I should also mention that you always want to unplug the unit before removing from the water.
I have a skimmer separate from my filter. The filter sponge is blocked daily. Curious what I could do to rectify this. My pond is 1k gallons. I’m running a pump that does 1500 gals/hr. I have a Vivogrow pressurized pond filter that’s for up to 1600 gals. The pond is all above ground, a raised bed that is 4’ deep, so there are no dirt or mulch issues. I net the pond in the spring and fall to help with debris from a large tree and do a yearly spring clean out. Any help you could provide would be appreciated. I also use Muck Away tabs and have found them to be effective in removing what doesn’t get sucked up by the pump.
It could just be the nature of the filter. A dense foam sponge will clog, especially in the pond bottom. It may be that you'd want to do away with the sponge and simply allow more of the debris to get pulled to your other filtration where it is easier to clean. If there does seem to be muck in the bottom or much in the way of suspended organics, you may want to use something to tackle this better. The Pure Pond Bomb has proven to be quite effective. Feel free to email us pictures of your filter and your overall setup and we'd be happy to try to further evaluate to assist. [email protected]
Hi, can this be used in a fish pond?
Absolutely! You just need to pay attention to the pond size ratings against the size of your pond.
I have 8.5 in my pond. I agree, it is not a problem for fish, but all of my lotuses are dead, and swords look like they are going to die any time...
we have same case no aquatic plants will survive on 8.5 ph
@@user-iu9tu5kh7wmy ph is 9 🙃 full pond of plants
Thank you. this isn't water tight.. it won't hold water.. Do you put the lining inside of it or around it?
Correct. This unit houses the pump and gives a volume of water to recirculate. The Waterfall Well would sit inside a lined reservoir. You can see an illustration showing this here: aquanooga.com/savio-waterfall-well/
Muck ponds are poorly built systems such as eco style ponds
Nah , under gravel suction grids are the best option
Definitely way better than the "style" of dumping stone in the pond with no air flow! But give me a bottom drain and good bio-filter any day.
@@WaterGardenVideo you obviously never seen a properly designed and built under gravel suction grid system work
How tall is the sprayer? Will it work in a 300 gallon stock tank that is 25 inches deep?
For your 300 gallon tank, I'd think you would want the 800 model. The approximate height from the bottom of the unit to the top of the spray head is about 26". So this should work fine. You could play with the effect by raising the whole unit onto some bricks or something as well.
Great video just installed the filter and the skimmer in our pond not very many videos out there of this company. Good stuff!!
Great vid. Only place I can find that describes the inner filters and such. Atlantic FAIL
Do you not need silicone behind the liner? The video doesn't show that
While some skimmers require silicone use, the Savio is a compression seal and does not require silicone.
What's wrong with your video?
Great question. Looks like it got stretched somehow. We'll have to look into it. Thanks for the head's up!
Why does this filter have no media in it? Just the sponge things? Can i add small pieces of lava rock to it?
Why does this filter have no media in it? Just the filter pad things? Can i add small pieces of lava rock to it?
Very nice. How long did the floating island planter last? it seems like it might go bad under the sun or outdoor conditions.
Avabile in pakistan
Savio skimmer is just mechanical filter, right ? which biologicla filter can I use with savio skimmer ?
Yes, the Savio Skimmer is primarily providing mechanical filtration. There are many options for biological filtration. If you contact our customer support we would be happy to help with your specific application. Email at [email protected] Helpful information would be specifics about your pond; size, fish, and pump details.
Finally a simple video to show the use and insides of a union. Thanks good video.
