The 1877 Homestead certainly has a lot of history. We keep finding more and unique items when we metal detect. And the property owner is delighted with all of the relics we find there.

It was definitely on my bucket list. It was only the second time in my life I have ever seen a TRIME, and the first time it was in an Antique store in Arkansas, When I realized what it was, I was so excited to dig this once in a lifetime find.

The Pinpointer in this video is a Nokta Accupoint (yellow and black).It is bluetooth, so if I am using headphones it switches automatically between my Legend detector, and the Accupoint pinpointer when I turn the pinpointer on. It just came on the market a few months ago, and it has features that I am still getting used to, like adjustable volume and sensitivity, tone differentiation (iron vs. non ferris). It's a big step up from my previous pinpointer a Dr. Otek (red and black) that you can see in my early videos.

My daughter has a cheap one...cant think of the brand right now but its terrible. I would like to find a cheaper one that actually works half way decent. Right now Im going without and It makes it mush harder to find the target.

@@zipshed - I liked my Dr. Otek. It works well and is less than $50 on Amazon. It has a LED screen that shows you how close you are to the target along with beeping and vibration.

@@zipshed The Dr. Otek is a great pin pointer. It has a LED screen that tells you how close you are in a bar graph. It has beep, beep/vibrate, and vibrate only modes that is great if you are detecting in areas with lots of people around. I found it very reasonably priced at around $50 USD.

Wow, congrats on the big silver!!! Love finding Bennys! Your big iron finds are definitely a splitting wedge and the piece with all the holes looks like it could be a piece of a jack since there are so many holes. Great video and finds!

Guaranteed to kill the grass if you don't hinge the plug..

If you are careful and put all the grass back in the right orientation, it will not kill the grass. I look at all of my previous dig sites when I revisit this location, and no dead grass yet.

@@garydonnelly8337 - I swing a Nokta Legend. It’s great for a beginner ring out of the box, and can be heavily modified as your skills improve. It only weighs 2.1 pounds and it’s easy to swing for hours at a time. Michele swings a Hazelwolke Jungler. It’s a bit heavier than the legend, and not as customizable but the low price is perfect if you’re not sure detecting is something you plan to do frequently.

Wish I could help with the mystery item, but I have no clue. Great job, I enjoyed the video! The American Eagle Headstamp is a RARE FIND 🎉🎉 I have only found one, and an expert online talks about how rare those are. I love dating my headstamps, so I usually research them to see how old they are.

Hot rocks are so aggravating. Thanks for finding my old battery… it must have been 3 years since I lost it. And follow-up the battery was spoiled- thick and unusable.

As shown in the video, I was able to ground balance the Legend to eliminate the signal for hot rocks. We didn't dig another one all day. Too bad about the battery. I was really hoping you would be able to clean it up and use it again. Those little batteries are expensive!
