Roger Whittaker has been delighting listeners since the 1960s with hits like "The Last Farewell," "Albany" and "Durham Town."
The singer, who was born and raised in Kenya, had his big breakthrough in 1969. At the end of the 1970s and in the 1980s, he was also successful with German-language songs such as "Abschied ist ein scharfes Schwert". The outstanding artist received more than 250 recording awards during his career. After numerous major tours, he ended his touring career in 2013.
