Great video Mr Symonds. Your video clears up what the RBA does to set the cash rate. But what about Money Supply? I thought that money supply determined interest rates. What is the point of the RBA issuing and buying back its bonds?

I feel like this might be an oversimplification in saying that it is ‘straight forward’. Between 2003-2008 we experienced the most lucrative mining boom. Yet, no surplus or remote level of turn around? I feel that it is telling that 2019 was the year that Covid presented and this surplus is reactionary to that. Where households be I’m more wary of spending.

Hi there thanks for the video and great explanation. I am trying to spread knowledge about the economic proposals of major C.H. Douglas and whish to point out from what I have learned so far that there are some impicit assumptions in this model that do not reflect reality, it is not my intention to challenge the explanation but rather the model itself. I think it the flow between firms and households represents a handcraft economy where only human labour is involved. However once machinery and a multistage process arises then a problem in the circular flow becomes evident as explained by major Douglas in his A+B theorem in regards that the flow of goods is ever increasing in order to maintain the flow of incomes sufficient to acquire a portion of the production and therefore a chronic lack of purchasing power is ever present in the economy, this gap is solved in many ways however those approaches only cause more productive in the future. Problems that could be solved with the right amount of free debt money bringing the circular flow back into equilibrium. If we acknowledge this as true then I hope people and economist change the way we spread the study of economics in order to bring a positive impact into real economy and peoples lives. I recommend the video series of C.H. Douglas social credit on KZread to see the implications of this change of mindset in regards to economy.
