Because it Matters

Because it Matters

Hi, I’m Sara- mom to three little children in three years, and wife to my beloved husband Danny.

I truly believe our home, and our children can be a lifelong “career” that both fulfills, and delights us, rather then one we wish run from.

I hope you leave here with tips to simplify the laundry, or hacks for organizing the closet, but most of all, encouragement to boost the soul.

Cheers, and you for stopping by. = )

Vinegar is an excellent cleaner. Just buy the cheapest vinegar by the gallon. Spray the build up stains, let it sit, scrub and repeat if necessary. To clean build up stains in the toilet, pour a large quantity of vinegar into the toilet, add a pan of boiling water, let it sit, brush with the toilet brush and flush.

As a woman, I’ve heard people complain that society devalues homemakers, but I’ve never actually heard anyone devalue homemakers.

I was having a hard time with my husband’s decision about something but I realized that a lot of itches because friends and family had a hard time with his decision. When I stopped caring about what they all thought, I could see that his decision brought a blessing to our family.

I really like your videos and as a stay at home mom of teens, I completely agree and can say it’s been sooo worth it! I always wanted to be the house in the neighborhood where all the kids came to and I am! I babysat as well and helped out when there were snow days and neighborhood parents still had to work - their kids would come over and entertain my kids. I was a latch key kid growing up and didn’t want thst for my children. Downsizing your life to accommodate this lifestyle is worth it for your whole family!

Beautiful video! I'm a new mom about to have baby #2 and am barely hanging in there as it is! I like the idea of cleaning the kitchen in the evening because now that I think about it, the pile of dishes looking at me isn't exactly the proper motivation to get out of bed lol

Yeah talk about no life at all. Real caring moms are busy and don't feel the need to ask for praises on social media exposing their loved ones to strangers. Bunch of moms this generation are idiots

I have probably a similar sink to yours. The best natural non-toxic I could find is power paste with scrub Daddy. You just damp your scrub Daddy dip it in the power pace and then scrub your sink down kindly. Let it sit for 30 minutes. Then give it the scrubbing that it needs and that should do it

so inspiring going into my first growing season! Sara what did you do to prevent hemorrhaging for baby #2 and #3, i also bled too much my 1st homebirth and preg with #2 did your Midwife put you on specific tea during pregnancy/ labor - or did they give you a post birth concoction? God bless you! I am currently relying on PRAYER, and building up my iron by eating lots of greens + vitamin c foods lol

With checkbooks, it's good to know you can write and mail in checks for all months or a whole year if you have that much money in your bank checking account to dedicate to cash flow. Mail early, call to verify that the check arrived, and it saves money on stamps. Learn how to use a checkbook's balance sheet and how to write on an envelope to mail to and your return address. Before apps and online sites were commonplace the balance sheet tells you how much money you have in the bank, if your math is correct. Also how to use the know where to sign a check you receive.

It's good for everyone in family to know how to do bills and basic cooking and basic cleaning. Sometimes we get sick, and sometimes the surviving partner has to learn these basic tasks. It never hurts to keep list of your trash water electric septic phone numbers on both cell phones and in the physical phone book.

I wonder how can a wife, who also works, can be a helpmate. Its 1 thing to be a stay at home wife/mother. I think a discuss of household chores and who does what and a discussion of roles would be important

I just want to say if you grow up in a family where mum or parent can't cook well, or issues with finances, you can still learn, it's just learning what not to do. There can be some good/great aspects or not to your parents, and still note something's are definitely not. But it means you will need to learn from elsewhere

A little while ago I started feeling like my role was pointless and that because I'm not paid for the work I do, it must be of little value. I knew deep down that's not true but it was burdening my mind. And then I saw something that said Homemaking is THE job, THE ultimate role and ALL other jobs have only ONE purpose- to SUPPORT the ultimate role of homemaking. 🤯 And it's actually true!

I am not a homemaker, wife, or mother but I do struggle with feeling like a failure and what I do is not important. I work in a cafe and have done so for 5 years. Praise God he has provided for me so much in that job but I didn't finish university or any other study as it just wasn't for me. I get caught in the lie that I am stupid and will not achieve anything meaningful with my life. Thanks for posting this 💛
