Dovescape seems like a non-bo in this deck. It has to be on the battlefield so opponents play around it, and it can act as a source of flying chump blockers for them.

Isshin’s been my main commander since Neon Dynasty came out, so this was helpful to see the newer cards worth running. That being said, I’d like to see a deck list that isn’t full of cEDH staples. This one seems to just go for high power cards rather than actually sticking to the attack synergy. Some notes I have after running multiple versions of this deck for two years (and playing almost exclusively Mardu commanders for a decade): -You forgot Savai Triome for the land package, and I’d swap Generous Gift for Stroke of Midnight. It’s strictly better since the opponent only gets a 1/1 instead of a 3/3. -I’d swap Blasphemous Act and Final Showdown for Toxic Deluge and Ruinous Ultimatum. The Ultimatum will set you far enough ahead that you’re pretty much guaranteed to win, and Deluge will get around those pesky indestructible creatures. -I’d lose Inferno Titan. He’s just too expensive for the payoff, even if it doubles twice. This deck needs to move quicker to outpace opponents, and Inferno just lags behind. Tectonic Giant, coming in at just 4 mana, has won games for me before. -Archon of Cruelty is also worth looking at if you want a super mean bomb to drop on the board (though do mind your mana production). -Myrel, Shield of Argive does WORK in combat, and keeps our opponents from countering creatures that we’ll cast on our turn. -Mishra, Claimed by Gix is SO mean, and coming out on turn 3 brings your opponents down super quick. The best part: he doesn’t need to attack for his ability to go off. If you stack him with a token generator like Krenko, Myrel, or Adeline, you can dish out some serious damage. -Legion Loyalty is fun. It’s not the most consistent due to its high mana cost, but it’s an honorable mention. Do be careful when running it though, because if you’ve got a bunch of legendaries on board it’s kinda worthless. -Sword of the Animist and/or Bitterthorn is an absolute MUST in most Isshin builds. Obviously, with only 9x basics in this list, it makes less sense, but in a list running closer to 15-20 basics, it’s an auto include and worth mentioning.

Thanks for the suggestions! I prefer Generous Gift over Stoke of Midnight because I can take out a land when needed. It's not something that comes up often, but it does happen. But I do like the rest of your suggestions! I always pay attention to people who have built a specific commander and tuned it over years.

I am using Brallin, Skyshark Rider and Glint-Horn Buccaneer in my Ashling deck, once I get 2 copy effect, those two card can easily kill everyone due to the Magecraft Ashling have.

eh i just used lord of the rings cards and have not really lost yet with it. nazgul and tempt cards with some unblockable, my big combo is basicly get the balrog in the grave and use down to deep or what not brings the balrog back nukes the board then pop smeagle to sac the balrog to kill a big threat and let the orc army wreck whatever is left. the nazgul comboes are just something extra if the orc army gets passified since i removed a lot of sac effects. whats weird is after looking at the deck i did not have a ton of mana since i guess the precons mana pool was not super big but my deck basicly has 40 plus cards that can trigger draw effects so as soon as the dark lord hits the board i can churn through the deck rapidly and find answers. played it last week and pull out a win from a commander deck that had 3 dragons that comboes to make one hit for 36 damage and killed everyone else at the table, i had 2 cards in hand and tempted myself 4 times to find enough answers to win the game.

@@chrislindgren2809 the synergies are good but its very shallow. There are no insights what usually happens when you play this kind of deck, no weaknesses, no small synergies if ever things dont work out with your commander.

It might be interesting to try artifacts matters strategies here, as the commander makes ALL other creatures “food artifacts.” All artifact removal is creature removal for all players when the Eater of All is on board

I have a Zedruu deck of my own and there's a couple cards I want to highlight to throw in if you can. Brand -one red instant let's you get all your permanents back Homeward path- land that does the same Akroan horse- 4 mana and donates itself automatically Statecraft- turn off any combat deck Cinder giant- Shut down the token player Approach of the second sun- for another wincon that's a bit more reliable Nine lives- Either will protect you all game or kill someone

Interesting build for him, I suggest Prowling Geistcatcher if interested. My version I went heavy on the sac with persist and undying, mixed with fleshbag sac effects and gravepacts at a small cost to targeted removal.

Posting this two years after the fact: My buddy asked me to build him a Queza deck last year. Put myself on a $100 budget as well. Insanely easy deck build. Draw more cards. Do stuff when life gaining. Also, keep drawing cards. I used a lot more creatures as support for card drawing though. This is extremely a "Death by a thousand cuts" kind of deck. Even without the extra tutors and whatnot to bump this up to $1,000, there is so much room to push this higher. Fun deck, as long as you can keep your draw and life drain triggers in order.

Hurricane is great, but there's also Squall line (1 more mana to make it an instant). For mine though, I used Tornado Elemental because realistically, unless I'm trying to wipe players, 6 damage is probably enough, and it comes with a 6/6 body that Eladamri can cheat right off the top using his activated ability. I know it's not an elf, but Mwonvuli Beast Tracker might be more suited for this than the likes of Sylvan Tutor. If he's on top, you can cast him and then use him for Eladmri's ability to put whatever you search into play. Go grab your Craterhoof for a finisher, or for the early game get that Soul of the Harvest or Defiler of Vigor cheated in for your turn 3

How does Danitha interact with Mazzy? Will there ever be any Auras in the graveyard? I also think I'd use the green and white Seals instead of the Disenchant and Return to Nature just for the extra card draw from Enchantments. Thoughts?

I have been thinking about an Eladamri deck myself and came up with so many cards, I could probably build 2 differnt decks without any non-land card appearing in both. There are just to many good cards these days. So I got some cards you could also consider. Of cource as I said there are way to many cards and you can't fit all of them into a single deck. You could always add some utility lands, though I do understand that there are a lot of green mama symbols in this deck. If you add a bunch of colorless producing lands you could play Selective Obliteration. It needs 2 true colorless diamond mana symbols and leaves your board alone while probably destroying at least half of the creatures of most opponents. I would probably not play Kodama's reach and Cultivate, instead maybe Wood Elves, etc. as those give you some material for attacking/tapping for Eladamri's ability. Fore more explosive ramp you could look at cards that give you potentially many lands like Harvest Season or Sporocyst. If you have a lot of lands you can more easily rebuild after a board whipe. Though with the low land count an extra land to hand from Cultivate/Kodama's reach could be almost as good as putting it into play. Playing a bunch of naturalise effects is fine (especially flexible ones like the new Collective Resistance), but I think you can get some more over the top artifact/enchantment removals, like Nullmage Shepherd or Druid of Purification. They cost a bit more but can get multiple permantents -> more value. Reverent Silence is a boardwhipe for all enchantments you can cast for free by giving your opponents life and Bane of Progress can be put in with your Commander and sweaps up all artifacts/enchantments. You can tutor these creatures as well. Tutoring a Reclamation sage can be necessary/good, but getting some of these will probably feel way better. Another cute card is Spring Cleaning. If you know your top card with Eladamri to be a high mana value card you can hold up an instant speed enchantment board whipe. Though maybe that card would be better in a deck focused more around big creatures and less around smaller elves. Another card that is probably better in a big creature deck would be Cream of the Crop. It could still be pretty good in your deck, e.g. if you have a lord or 2 out, all elves do something similar to a scry 2 or scry3 on etb. I think the card is really good with the commander because it allows you to keep having creatures on top of your library to play. Even in your elf ball deck you "only" have 34 creatures which means a 1/3 chance that the top card is a creature. That doesn't allow you to get much card advantage, especially if all you get is just a 1 mana Llanowar elf from the top. If you can keep chaining the creatures with Cream of the Crop and some lords it could be really strong, allowing you to play multiple cheap creatures each turn from the top of your library. For removal you could play Thorn Mammoth. You can put it in with your Commander and with all the ramp, 7 mana shouldn't be a huge problem. It can turn mana dorks into extra removal and you don't have to fight with it if the Mammoth would die.
