I had a 2015 TDI. I did my belts at 125k and 250k almost made it to 375k service but I totaled it on the Interstate on my way home from work back in 2021. Original Clutch and Turbo. 50+ mpg on the highway. Never gave me a problem. I just did all the maintenance according to VW specs(as best I could). VW are excellent cars, but you MUST do your maintenance

I had this exact problem. I fixed it and a few days later the blower motor went out again, no blown fuses, relays or diodes, I replaced the resistor and still nothing.

The splash shields will keep the wire from getting up into the rotor. This wire got into the rotor

6.0 have a bad reputation sometimes. But if you replace the few factory parts that are systematic failures, its a great engine. 1) oil cooler- they clog up that leads to high engine temps, then wider problems. 2) At around 100,000 miles ARP head studs are a good idea. But if you don't over tune or tow alot stock can last a very long time. 3) high temps are the real issue, they cause the majority of problems. So take steps to always be aware of this. Many 6.0 owners see 350,- 450 thousand miles with good maintenance.

This is why a car owner should have their cars serviced at a full service repair garage like yours even for oil changes so that issues like this can be noticed and repaired before this occurs.

There are these things called funnels they are large at the top and small at the bottom allowing for fluid to flow through. One of those would work great in this situation. Or if you don’t have a funnel you could just cut the top off a water bottle. Then use it to redirect the thick dark fluid to the desired destination, possibly a milk jug or a more acceptable receptacle. Then doing the responsible thing and transport said extricated goo to a proper recycling facility near you wherever you are. It can be exciting, it all depends on your attitude.
