    Hi my rifle in this video is my Gamo Socom 1100 in .177 with a Guerilla 4x32AO scope i bought second hand but not sure if its a spring or gas piston... then i have a Beeman Jackal which was crap and a Beeman Mantis which is a gas piston and awesome but had crappy iron sights but apart from the iron sights the Mantis is very nice as well as the Socom.. thanks

    Blakes and Melkbaai are ok spots but preferably Blakes.. i think with lots of time put in u will start to like it as its not that far but i understand your point.. what baits u using as thats alsi important.. best for reef fish is sand prawn then worm and sportfish like kob fresh squid and fresh mullet

    @@asifisraelfishing I have used sardines,white mussel,strepie,harder,rooi aas. It's quite difficult to get prawn. Closest place to get prawn is sunrise circle.

  • @asifisraelfishing
    @asifisraelfishing Жыл бұрын

    @danieknoesen2392 ok.. when we fish Strand we drive to Rooi Els for prawns and it comes out good there.. not everyone will drive so far and Monsabisi pumped out the last i tried there.. Strand not what it used to be fishing wise but safer than Strandfontein areas but Strandfontein has better class fish.. Strand has more reefs to fish on low tide loke Blakes and left and right side of Blakes which has given me fish in the past and before KZread days.. the most difficult for most fisherman is the amount of time they can invest in a area and if u fish occasionally chances are conditions might not be ideal but if for example you fish the same spot for more than a week everyday chances are 1 or more days will be somewhat productive as opposed to once every other month.. thanks for the feedback i appreciate it and Tight Lines.. dont hesitate to reply or if theres snything else on your mind about Strand or other areas

    Wslm Toufeeq.. shukran for the question.. unfortunately i only ever fished this area during summer so cant comment for winter fishing.. i would think winter species like steenbras and reef fish like blacktail and odd galjoen will be around if conditions are right but just a guess.. sorry but no experience with winter fishing for this area.. fish are still there its just a matter of baro pressure for the days u there and with winter theres always a cold front coming through dropping that pressure causing weak fishing conditions in winter but if u get a gap in the weather pattern u can still catch fish.. if u there fish baits like redbait and white mussel for galjoen and cracker at spots like the wreck on the gravel road but need lots of tackle.. the harbour wall might produce also or Suiderstrand also a good option.. all the best

  • @asifisraelfishing

    Hi dont really fish that much if any in winter but the harbour is popular in winter and this spot not far from there.. on a spring tide 3 hours before high tide and 2 hours after high tide with the right wind it should produce.. expect mostly bankfish summer and winter like blacktail/ stumpnose and the odd galjoen and the water needs a nice kick in it to be productive.. winter in the past is very little wind many days as opposed to summer which is why i mainly prefer summer fishing as well as the coldness during winter is intense.. good luck and with the right baits trying different spots around there you should get the occasional pull and expect to lose tackle.. thanks and tight lines
