Ayeeeee🎉
Thank you Paul W. Keyes 🙏🏻
i would like to think that he's not singing exactly the same notes because it just evokes the awful trauma if he did
Shirley was one of the women being thought of for the role of Maria. She would have made a great Maria.
This woman can sing anything with anyone “Queen of Music”
Brabo esqueci
Reid Collins went on to be a top Anchorman at CNN back when it was good.
I just finished reading Eliot Weisman’s book (The Way It Was) - he managed both Sinatra and Steve & Eydie. He described the recording of the Duets albums in some detail. The artists all recorded separately from Frank. So Frank was not there when Steve & Eydie recorded their part. The engineers, etc. did a fabulous job of putting it all together!
33 years ago 😊 I was just a baby but some of these seem so familiar
One of those back up dancers looks like Sharmel, Aka Booker T's wife
Like all 3. Steve & Vic were two of my favorites. They were both equally good, I feel. To hear them each alone is where you can tell.
01:01:05 is where the 1812 Overture begins. Always my favorite part of this beautiful concert.
Sly is so high. That band seemed amazing onstage. He gets a break for being a difficult interview.
You know it's kind of funny I remember watching this when I was a little boy live on PBS and I grew up in Providence and because of this show I became a big fan of classical music and of Arthur Fiedler is to this day still my favorite conductor and my favorite composer of all time John Williams thank you all for your time happy Fourth of July 2024
Our country was so different then. I miss it so much

30:33 what I remember the most about this show is this song played when things went well.
I haven't heard this bit of music in over 40 years and-call me silly-it literally brought tears to my eyes.
Prince before Prince, Sly was a musical genius. But he seems high as a kite
Him talking about boogie nights here so surreal wish he could’ve talked about it more
It sucks as it cuts.
thanks for uploading this, it's one of few things about him on KZread.
Great performance I'm from Brazil 🇧🇷
Legend
❤❤❤
I remember watching this and seeing a familiar yellow flame appear at 24:20. My heart sank to the floor.
I wonder how the other singer Trisha Yearwood feels about this. They should’ve turned this into a duet
Icon..
Amazing vocal, atmospheric rich sounds of spirit of Damien and his Molokai. Thank you to this fine, fine actor who embodies Jef de Veuster , Father Damien. Thank you! Godspeed!!
I mean I understand the reasoning of not giving the Grammy to her for this song. She was 14 when she recorded the song, a little inappropriate subject matter for a little girl to sing despite her undeniably mature voice and overwhelming technical ability. If they’d given her the Grammy I’m sure they would have been met with backlash because they are essentially condoning the treatment of little girls as women. When I first listened to the song, I thought a woman in her mid 30s sang the song. I was kind of disturbed they allowed a little girl to sing the song even though she did absolutely kill the song. And if I can be totally honest, at the time Trisha’s version and vocal style would be more popular and fitting and her vocal abilities were slightly better than Leann’s at that time. But if we compare their primes as grown women, Leann is undeniably a better vocalist. She is so damn underrated.
She was only 15 here.....
EPIC SONG DEARLY BROUGHT🌹🌺❣️by Bob Dylan💥🎶🌹❤
To mom and dad, I love and miss you every day. 🌹
Very smart, clever, knowledgeable and down to earth is Quentin Tarantino in that interview. He really took cinema to another level...
Lump in the throat every time I hear this song
Why did he change the melody though 😢
Sly is a good dude.... Cavet kinda doesn't know where to go with the conversation, but Sly 's just chillin. Serms lika a very articulate man. My best to him.
Seeing above performance for the first time was without question one of the highlights of the year for me.
A great man and human being who did so much for children.
Great singing by Shirley on these selections from NBC's "Bell Telephone Hour" TV series.
