  if you want to play double bass, i suggest you disconnect the 2nd tom cable and get another kick pedal. That way you plug it in, change the sound options and switch it to a kick sound. you can find pedals similar to these in third party stores.

  Im 7 months late but you press the two buttons at the same time where it says transpose and press the data up/down which is how many semitones u transpose up or down
