  @@Erik-ry9dk my understanding of bpm is the speed of the beat/track. If you’re writing to it, it shouldn’t matter too much because you can mess with it and get whatever you write to sound good over time, but if you was freestyling you would have to double time it after like 99-100. I say (it shouldn’t matter when you’re writing) but you still wanna be aware of the beat and stay on beat or jump around where you want and then come back to being on beat. Bpm help you find the pockets in the beat where you’re able to work. It doesn’t just point it out, but it helps you find them.
