Hello! My mission here is to showcase manga in my own light. Give my opinions on certain styles and genres, and also introduce others to new and niche series. I mostly have manga content, but occasionally will read books as well.
Bookwalker also has some pretty good sales for digital volumes, and usually for Kodansha series.

Follow up comment! I did the same with Snow White. I read volume one and was like ehhh, picked up volume 2 and was like yeah no. Just didn’t grab my interest. Which surprised me

Though I got it as a free volume of Villains are Destined to Die from Caketins I’m not interested in the series. I tried it and sort of liked it but I’m not a big fan of isekai series. If you are interested I could figure out a way to get the copy to you. There is a box set for the first five volumes of solo leveling. Your husband should make more appearances in your videos. Great haul and video as well.

Just stumbled across your page, and I find this so neat! It made me interested in what you were reading. I'm gonna put my two cents, cause I have guesses: I think I know what kind of monster it is. It sounds like the "W" type of being from Native American Lore (I cant say it, as it is bad practice and very disrespectful to Native Culture to do so). I mean, think about it: a cold climate/setting, something seems to be hunting them down in a cabin away from civilization, the husband is toxic and abusive, random corpse of of an animal in the woods!? Sounds like that specific one to me.

Sundial was crazy interesting. Definitely added it to my creepy kids books. My favorite creepy kid book of all time is First Day of Spring, it’s written from the kids perspective.

Near the Bone was definitely interesting especially when you find out what’s really going on. I recommend no exit. It’s a winter setting about a woman that discovers a kidnapped little girl and has to escape from where they’re all snowed in. I really like how clever she is.

I think of it like a parody of a shojo manga because the MC believes she’s the heroine and she’s meant to be with her childhood friend, then he gets stolen away by another, more plain girl. The facial expressions are wild and everyone is kind of awful, but it’s a blast to read.

Also I wouldn’t say Stray Cat & Wolf is that similar to Cheeky Brat. Cheeky Brat has a MC that’s very focused on being a great basketball manager and one of her kohai on the team falls for her. The older senpaixyounger kohai dynamic is very interesting and it takes a few volumes for her to give into him. I think you’d like it way more if you want better characters.

I can kind of understand why vol 1 of OnK would upset you if you got attached to Ai. I actually really like a recent interview from the mangaka team that explains this. They said Ai was such a strong character that the story couldn’t have progressed with a focus on Aqua and Ruby, which I completely agree with. It’s one of my favorite series and has a lot of other great characters so I do recommend giving it another try in the future if you feel up to it.

Great video! Are there any non-action, non-romance mangas you recommend? I'm usually a light novel reader but I want to try some manga after discovering your channel but I'm not a huge fan of romance and I tend to not be able to read action scenes in manga. :)

Very specific...hmmm let's see...have you tried Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan (more of a comedy) or PTSD radio if you like horror, children of whales is a shojo but isn't exclusively romance or action...I consider it more of a fantasy mystery. And thank you so much for being here♥️
When I clicked on this video I expected a poor quality video because of the low views, however, I was pleasantly surprised to see a professional quality, actually entertaining video. It reminds me to not judge something by its viewcount. Keep up the good work and you'll be famous in no time!
