I've been in Korea for 2 times already, love this country and want to live there and get a citizenship one day. I'm full remote IT specialist and I meet all the requirements, BUT it is valid only for 2 years. So it won't let you get a permanent residence in the future. You need to live for 5 years in the country to get it. This is very sad for me and I'm waiting for some changes in it.

Omg thank you so much for this detailed video! I’m moving to Seoul in a month and I’m so stressed about the housing. Do you know if we can pay by cash/card? Cause I dont think we can pay with european bank account. If we can only pay with korean bank transfer then we might need somehow to get the ARC and opening the bank account, but then should we find first a gosiwon that allows us to register the living at immigration office (?) Thank you in advance
@iamkimninja2 ай бұрын
My recommendation for you is to open up a "Wise" Online Banking Account. That way, you can easily do bank transfers to Korean Banks. The first months before going to the immigration office you don't need a fixed address you can stay at different Goshiwons or neighborhoods until you found the right place then you register that permanent place at the immigration office Feel Free to Subscribe to my Newsletter where I send out Weekly Guides in Korea 😁

Hi! I have a quick question. Does this only apply to people who are currently working fully remote in other countries? And can only people with US citizenship apply? Because I am currently working in an American country with a green card as a Korean citizen
@iamkimninja3 ай бұрын
You have to work remotely for a country outside of Korea and it's not limited to US Citizen. But if you are Korean with a Korean Passport you don't even need to apply for a Visa you can just live in Korea as long as you want
