Yes, death and taxes. Not a coincidence they go hand in hand. We get taxed from the moment we are born (SSN#) until our death (death certificate).

A subtle brilliance about the first check Abagnale looks at from the Minnesota "paper hanger". He knows exactly what to look for of course, via his own practiced criminal mind, and sees that that it must be a teller at the bank using a rotating hand stamp dating gadget where you can switch or dial to corresponding numbers or abbreviated months. During the time period depicted in the film, the decade of the 1960's, the bank hand stamp 6's and the 9's would necessarily have to be used over and over during those years, much more frequently than other numbers, (the "1" also, logically, but that may not show up as much....) Thus those number, wear down faster, cracking more with each passing year of that decade. The deterioration of those numbers shows on the phony checks...I've even noticed that certain numbers may be more used or inherently vulnerable to poor print outs or reference numbers on current day receipts...small mechanical clues can often tell you a lot.

Did anyone else notice that the orchestra music stopped in the background when Joe said, "The time has come to tell you who I am," and only resumed after he revealed his identity as an IRS agent and was asking Bill to confirm that?

Is it just me or does SLJ play a better villain/anti hero than he does a straight hero at least in live action. You cant tell it in animation like with Frozone but just the way he carries himself in live action always makes him very menacing. I admit his roles as Mace Windu and Nick Fury are good but as a villain/anti hero he always nails that shit.

I’ve thought about this scene once a day every day since I saw this movie 20 years ago. I know I was late to the party.. “oh you feel better muthafuka?” I think about at least once every hour 😂😂😂 masterpiece 🤌 Edit: 9 minutes and 37 seconds later every time I drive 😂🏎️💨
