  The thing about good music is that it unites people. If it's a banger from a black artist such as Curtis, whites like myself enjoy the hell out of a song like this. Same goes for Elvis for example on the other hand. Good music is good music regardless of skin color.

  Man, he was an artist just an artist. Not a black or rectangular artist: he was a human being artist. And his color was just a color as his form was just a form. As well as yours. So don't be attached too much to all that non sense. As a body, it is just a body. We are not the body. So we are not the " black" or the "white" or this or that. We are beings. And beings are beyond all thoses limitations. Peace and love brother.🙏🏽🌸🌸

  I played percussion with a small soul band on the air base at Minot ND in '70-72, and this was one of the jams we killed. My conga and bongos were smokin! Henry Gibson who was the percussionist on many of Curtis' hits was really the best in the business.
