Damn, sorry bro but 'sorry I was wrong' isn't exactly worth much when people who trusted your opinion lost their money. I refuse to believe someone with so much experience in Payday 2 didn't notice all that was wrong with 3. I don't think you were ever truly talking about a game you were excited about when making materials on Payday 3. I think you were selling a product, fully aware how faulty it is.
The devs basically giving Epic the middle finger by accepting their exclusivity deal and then basically using it as early access while the game was still bad, just so they can launch it on Steam a year late and have it be actually good is hilarious. Turns out the "Crime Boss: Rockay City will be better than Payday 3" memes weren't memes, they were prophecies.

13:12 Actually, hitting nuclear warheads with explosives isn't gonna do much. Nukes have very specific ways to detonate them that have to be done just right to work at all, it's not like a block of explosive being set off by another explosion.

Kknowley holding out for waves with a mediocre crossbow build, 2 player spawns, and the inability to do objectives is genuinely impressive.
Honestly thinking about buying this game, but gotta drop Outward or Dragon Age from my shopping list to do so.
This was a rather effective "not sponsored" video, as it got me to shell out 17 bucks (it was on sale when I wrote this) for the steam release of the game. I think the tipping point was the "rougelike single player" elements. That genuinely looks like a fun time. The acting might not live up to the fantasy of the early trailers, but hearing that the gameplay and overall atmosphere seems to is a great thing indeed.
The game is just boring honestly. Not enough content, the guns and shooting feel boring and honestly just generic af. It feels like im playing an FPS from 2010. The graphics are good but simultaneously the weapon sound effects and visuals are just generic and arcadey. Not enough guns period. Overkill weapon shit was lazily done... there are still only TWO after like a year. half the maps are just boring tbh. They are unique but some are just way too annoying to run over and over again. So in reality its like we have a few good heists, every gun feeling boring and identical, its just boring af. skills are mediocre, some good, some boring and bad. The engine feels good but something is missing, it just feels off. This game feels like the temu version of payday. This is the "we have payday at home". I simply think there is no realistic way for this game to bounce back. There are too many glaring problems with the base gameplay itself, no amount of maps or new guns could fix this.
For future challenge runs after Soldier, you could try challenge runs using canon builds/loadouts for heisters. Running their bespoke perk deck alongside either the weapons they came with, or in the OG heisters cases, the ones that they've used in promotional material that best suit the skill tree based on them. (IE, any shotguns Chains has used in promotional imagery or the live action stuff.) Crossover characters could also justifiably use anything they used in their source material (and while that'd probably make Jacket pretty easy, it's that or be stuck with the hammer on a deck that buffs melee.) Plus that means at some point if you did all the heisters you'd have to do another Co-Op run where both of you play as ethan and hila with airbows and I think thats funny.

I loved PD1 and 2, and was going to upgrade to a PS5 just based on that, glad I waited. I think games overall are lame on PS, but will wait for GTA or KF3 to be released, until then my PS4 is staying.

I had this game on epic day one and droped it pretty fast, grabed it on steam again and got all dlc gifted on top. Holy shit did they WORK on this game, feels completely different and it's quite fun !

Well this video aged badly, considering things such as 3 shot health 2 shot ICTV as well as being all around better than the DLC decks that came out. Generally that is. Anarchist is still a busted generalist thanks to the wonders of armor gatting. But crew chief is THE most safe option. It's not armorer with it's lower health threshold and it's not muscle with its proximity based priority aggro bolstering that has niche case scenarios such as drill repairs, but it doesn't have the same upsides such as 2 second invulnerability and an innate regen and spreading fear mechanic. It's very vanilla.

Tbh i think the ai mechanic needs an overhaul, the payday gang i mean, if you have played crime boss rockay city omfg its similar to payday but their team mechanics are soo much bette, you can swap characters mid heist, they will grab loot and take it to the van automatically if it has gone loud,you dont have to waste radio answers because you can zip tie guards without killing them in stealth, you dont have masks but if you but you can out youre guns away and go back into public areas like nothing happened, you can jump without having to be masked either, thwir system is so much better and built on the same engine, this is what is needed, being able to mask off if you have not been detected, being able to take guards down without having to kill them or answering radios if you dont kill them, and having youre ai team not be completely useless in loud missions, because you spend most of the time doing everything yourself.
