It's more like an art restoration of a museum piece. The care you took in the restoration is evidenced in the padding you used to support the car on the jack stands. After seeing the finished product I'm surprised it was completed in only 2 1/2 years.

Damn it, we support the criminal in Moscow. Putin can only be defeated if we implement an immediate energy-saving lockdown. No more private trips. Heating only at night and only one room with light and electricity, you can simply set that at the fuse box....Cities could, for example, switch off every second street light and companies could switch off their neon signs. We can initially limit driving to pure business trips and hospital trips, etc...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stop driving now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a lovely piece of work. You were lucky to acquire the car from its previous owner. I saw an Austin Healey 3000 go from decent condition to rusting hulk and finally dust, because the owner would not let the car go. Any approaches were met with a definite 'not for sale' comment. I could weep, even now.

How do you remove the hard top?
@MediaWhored3 жыл бұрын
From past experience, not in flip flops by yourself. You cant imaging what the corner of a 150 lb hard top can do when you drop it on your toes... Think smashed grapes. Some guys throw a few rings in the top for hoisting it off, I had a buddy who made a little dolly with arms he slid in from the back and drove out from under it...

Sweet restoration. I live in a rural area and had one given to me. It could not pass the annual inspection because just about every thing on it was rusted and not safe to drive on public roads. The Buick V 6 still ran fine after a tune up. We drove that in the fields and woods for years until the body just fell off the frame and you could not steer it anymore. I hope your commando gives you the same pleasure mine gave me.

So sad. The resto cost (not counting his labor) more than the car is worth. Now you have a pretty car that no one under 50 identifies, slower than a mid-size new car, terrible service intervals, high oil consumption, and you can't park it anywhere.

The etype os possibly the most gorgeous car ever made and only the finest resto will do for these beauties. No etype should ever be scrapped
Now this is some killer work here on this classic!! I love the diamond plate and the fix it tough but nice mentality very much!!!
had to turn down the awful music
How much did it cost?
Sharp looking Econoline pick up truck.
Such a pleasure ... !!!
Beautiful job done ,i could never afford one but appreciate the most beautiful car ever built
NIce restoration but I hate the music!
