Had a brand new 2021 C-Dory 23 Venture. The factory did an amazing job. We had spent time for a couple of years on a 22 in the PNW. We loved the quality. It was Ok at best for the PNW. As long as you picked your weather window, which is not always possible. Then we brought it to SoCal. We a terrible boat in wind and mixed swell. Just terrible. We quickly realized we picked the wrong boat. The boat could handle more than we could but we did not feel safe at all. The C-Dory have EXTREME limited capabilities. It’s really a poor man cabin cruiser simple as that. How I don’t understand how so many love them. They are build nice. But we are now wanting and soon to order a SeSport 26. Much better build, better ride, better comfort, just better in every way but still a smaller sized boat. Obvious downsides are fuel economy if that matters to you and more draft. Not a lot more but the C-Dory is a flat bottom. If you are just cruising in calm waters then I think the C-Dory is awesome. As much a someone tells you they handle rough water, that’s complete BS. They are just trying to justify their purchase. Again, winds under 12 knots, waves under 3 you’ll be good to go. That is not us. We want more options in our weather window, comfort, speed and quality of build and twin engines. Go out on a C-Dory and try to get in some rough water. Maybe you’ll like it. We do like the TomCat but kinda same thing as far as sea conditions go but obviously better than the mono hulled versions. To each their own. The C-Brats are an amazing group of owners, I will say that. But they will stick by their brand come hell or high water. Never call their boats ugly. LOL Good boats just not our cup of tea.

Nice.... Did you know you can track ships like this online? I live a few minutes away from where I can watch them go up and down the river so I use the website to notify me when this ship and others get close to arriving or leaving. My goal is to list some of the tall ships that come in May every year so I can get notified to go down to the river and take videos and pictures. www.marinetraffic.com
