    Moving the sensor did solve the issue, I also fed straight power and ground to the motor (unplugged) and heard the motor go one direction, then I switched and the motor got stock… I told them to change the electrical motor (shift actuator) and re-test… waiting on the part…

    I use the usual setup for finding a shirt, a halogen bulb connected across the fuse that blows, or one wire - battery power, the other - the leg of the fuse that goes to the compressor… essentially, it’s the same thing…

    Even with the wire fixed, it did not work… now, the problem turned out to be the new ac pressure sensor that came with the new condenser… it would not push on the valve and would not see the real pressure, it would show 1 atmosphere, the atmospheric pressure only… I switched it with the old sensor, and all is well… DO NOT USE aftermarket ac pressure sensors for Audi / Volkswagen, thru don’t work!!!

    My volts on my 2014 V6 Pathfinder shows 14.3 when I cut on the engine & while driving but if I idle with the a.c on full blast for a few minutes volts goes as low as 11.9, is my alternator going bad?

  • @alexblok883
    @alexblok88319 күн бұрын

    Not necessarily… usually, low idle rpm’s are the reason for what you are describing… what is it idling at? If it’s lower than 600, you will have this problem… the fix there is to clean the throttle body and reset the idle, afterwards… u will need a scanner for this…

  • @WillieFufu-lo1nb
    @WillieFufu-lo1nb19 күн бұрын

    @alexblok883 it's idling right at 1,000 rpms.

  • @alexblok883
    @alexblok88319 күн бұрын

    @@WillieFufu-lo1nb that’s higher than it should be, and can not be the cause of your problem… what is the rpm when it’s idling in Drive, head light ON, A/C full, blower motor on HIGH? That’s when your problem occurs, so that rpm reading is very important… it’s not the same 1,000 - it’s lower than that , right?

  • @WillieFufu-lo1nb
    @WillieFufu-lo1nb18 күн бұрын

    @alexblok883 it's idling at about 800 rpms with the headlights on & the ac on full blast.

  • @alexblok883
    @alexblok88316 күн бұрын

    @@WillieFufu-lo1nb that seems to be ok… the problem could be a bad ground to the engine from the battery, that will create a voltage drop where it should not be any drop… the higher the load, the more of a voltage drop u will see… u need to use a voltmeter and check the voltages under load from battery negative to the engine… if it’s more that .3-.5 volts, u have a bad ground… please, check it out and get back to me…

    Thank u for taking time to comment on this… I don’t run a shop, I m a one man mobile diagnostic machine, my jobs are usually limited to 30-40 minutes, and usually are quite technical, since I deal with shops only… normally, I would get to the bottom of things, but in this particular case, the shop only wanted to get it started… they spent a lot of money on parts with no result, once I got it to start, they told me that that’s all they needed… I was happy to oblige… :)) on the technical note, I jumped a ground that is supposed to be there, ground is a ground is a ground (I never understand this idiom), so, for the purpose of this repair, I did ok… thank u for watching …

    I have dealt with this model a few times, once it had a wiring issue, once - bad tranny, which was not bad after all, a few times - bad HIGH Voltage battery… in your case, may I suggest that you check your charger for appropriate charging voltage, better check it with a scope… lately, the market is full of cheap battery chargers that are literally kill cars electronics by supplying unregulated voltage up to 17-18 volts and not only that , the voltage is surging… on the scope, it looks like a pulsating voltage of high frequency… if that’s the case, get rid of the charger and try to charge your 12 volt battery with another car and booster cables… clear the codes and try starting from scratch… I will do some more research on the issue and get back to u… thank u for participating…
