Would rock a single 12 power HX2 or the newer T1 dual 10’s? I have the option to get either but not sure which one would have better sound quality.

Even though this set up is from early 2000 era rockford us top notch. Slams all day . An is still sought after . Had all most the same set up in a 1990 jeep Cherokee. Only they were 12s for the subs an the amps were 100.2 love them hx2 there legendary.

I had an 18 punch inch hx2 and a 1000rms fosgate power series mono amp installed in my 2004 blazer zr2 back in April 04 and it's still pounding today. Almost twenty 20 years haha

What is funny is Rockford fosgate claim the power series is double the power handling but I call that bullshit . I have had hall these subs including a team power series . The only thing difference really was the team . I highly doubt the power series is 1000 watts rms . The he2 is already 500 watts rms , so there is no way the hx2 is also 500 rms

He2 400 rms, punch hx2 500 rms, power hx2 1000 rms. Hx2 had 3” coil. Power had 4”. If you’ve taken both apart and compared, you’ll see the difference.

I purchased 2 of the non-power HX2 15's when they first hit car audio shops. I ran them for years. Was driving a full size Bronco at the time. Because of my long commute, I bought a new Ford Focus hatchback in 2005 and switched to 2 JL Audio 10W7's. The 15's were just too big for the small car. I put my HX2's in storage for ten years until 2015. Put them in my daughter's car when she started driving at 16. She she ran them for a couple years until changing cars in 2018 and could only fit one. The other was returned to storage. In 2020, she had moved away to the other side of our state into an apartment complex. Her car was vandalized and the sub was stolen. Still have the single sub in storage left, but it pains me to think that they have been separated. On a side note, some of the best subs I ever owned.

I been running the first gen punch hx2 12's since 2005. Bought em used for $100. Got a t1500.1 on em now and still impress people. Also have a power and a punch hx2 15s just like that one. Building boxes for both after mdf comes down some. Also have a silver t1 but it needs a rebuild.

my favorite 10 of that day for sure the only thing close was the 10W6 in a sealed 1 cuf box in a small CRX was so musical i still miss it today thanks for the memories if you have any old sounstream referance blue amps hit me up 300/500 WO x over SX

These subwoofers are from the early 2000’s back when Rockford still made stuff in the USA. These are discontinued. The only way you’d find one is with luck on OfferUp, eBay, or old school Rockford fosgate groups on Facebook. These are pretty rare.

Its super clean n nice. Its crazy you have this sub its rare as hell.. I got a set of punch hx2 10 dual 2ohm subs and two 12 power hx2 subs iv kept for like 10 yrs or so. I havent used em in years. Still in perfect shape to no scratches anything. But now im running skar DDX 12s. This makes me wanna pull em out for old times sake lol

I bought mine in 2003 I got a pair for 12 punch hx2s got em hooked up to a alpine 1100d amp they slam and that’s not even enough power to em I need a spare battery in the trunk is what’s next
