was the problem the track bar, or the joint in the track bar?
I'm going to listen on my way home from work in the morning. I am wondering if podcasts should be on a second channel. I've been researching to find a way to link the two but I don't know that much about it.
Yeah, I’ve seen some people do two channels. I don’t have time for all that haha. 😂
@@sixfeetunderfab right?! I barely have time to do a video a week
Good stuff guys.
Thanks!
Hey I know those guys....😁
They alright
I really hope you keep up with this. When the engine lets go in my Scout II the K24 is what I want to replace it with and I need more inspiration.
A Scout would be awesome with this motor, and yes we plan on getting this done slowly over time.
LOL "don't you do it!" We should link up for a podcast at some point.
You gotta know how to talk to these parts lol and I’m down for that
My hands look like that also when I try to massage it out.
lol 😂
I did 4.88s in my 8.8 and had to shave a tooth, I wonder how u got away with not having to🤔. Mine did have the factory limited slip, and its garbage... I think I'd rather have an open carrier to Install a spartan, instead now iv gotta replace the entire carrier to have a proper locking diff🤦♂️🤷♂️. Live and learn🤙
I’m not sure, I got lucky!
I really need to find an 8.8 and dana 44 for the XJ
Yes you do
AMC 401, NV4500, Dana 300 TCase. Super swampers, new springs and shocks and fix the bed.
That would be awesome
Hey man what rear end do you have The pinion guard is really nice I have a 14 bolt sterling 10.5 how do mount hard on thanks for the videos
I am running a 14 bolt out of a 2500 Chevy van. I run Barnes4wd pinion guards on all my rigs. You can’t beat em!
It's got a pretty cool look as is. And it runs!! Looking forward to seeing what you end up doing with it.
You and me both!
Do anything with it just not another ls swap. Any other drivetrain.
I’m thinking no LS swap
@@sixfeetunderfab beat the yj to the k swap LOL
Hemi swap with a manual tranny. Then get it just nice enough to drive around, kinda like the Cherokee. Can’t wait to see this one transform.
Very helpful video especially since I didn’t get any instruction with my roof rack from JRC
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
It's a hood lock for a pin and chain set up.
Gotcha! Thanks!
Sell it 19:22 😂 jk
You alright
I’m hopping you do a frame up on that J10. I have a 1979 J10 Honcho ( Levi) down to the frame now. Have a 400 SBC I built awhile ago paired up with the rebuilt TH400 auto Trany. My intentions is to make an overland rig, rooftop tent. Bush worthy. Be fun to follow along with you on the build.
I’m not against doing a frame up. I really plan on getting it running and driving and then see where it goes. Your build sounds awesome though.
Dude I remember seeing that on Marketplace. Looks like a solid buy. I’d get it roadkill status and keep the look. Brakes, suspension, tires and a good tune up then roll with it. An Offroad recovery vehicle would be cool down the road.
yes, i agree with you on that. It has RoadKill vibes for sure
Got a glow up
@@TrulyHorrific for sure
If you haven’t already, check out Ghoulie Garage’s Kswapped Buggy for inspiration. I’m KSwapping one of my Mr2’s and the motor just went in my Jeep so I’m going down the rabbit hole and found yours haha
@@firstwordcar I will definitely check that out! Thank you!
Did you raise it 2" or the 4" proximety sensor version?
Lmao "whats that?"
lol 😂
It’s been a while since I watched the original. What are the benefits/reasons of choosing this motor?
The main reason is to make it rowdy. The Jeep isn’t gonna be a dedicated rock crawler or anything like that. We just want to make a loud, high rpm, turbocharged YJ.
And now im disappointed for no turbo
Did you watch until the end?
@@sixfeetunderfab yes but I don't like how yall be playing with my emotions
nice
Thanks
5 seconds in and im hoping for twin turbo 🤞
There’s a cliff hanger at the end lol
Hey man tbh how do you afford all that you do?
I have a full time job and I work all hours of the nights and weekends working on peoples jeeps and offroad rigs.
@@sixfeetunderfab that’s cool. I guess I’m not working enough, darn Biden and trump spoiled me with the stimulus checks now I don’t like o work.
Those are sick! 🤙 The light distribution when turning is next level! I wonder if someone makes something similar for the sxs market? 🤔
I’m not sure, but that would be awesome
Great video on this product. I just installed mine yesterday and love this Gatekeeper Light mount with yellow & white beams💯👍
I love them!
That rig is dope
The FedEx truck or the Jeep? Lol
lol, that Jeep is banging
That looks like Low Bridge Rd off of Ramsuer-Julian Rd.
It’s on Low Bridge rd off of 109
@@sixfeetunderfab Uharries, gotcha
The van is European, Yankee junk cant touch it.
Oh ok
i had a 2 door jeep wagoneer lost it in Durango Colorado. had brand new engine and a 4 speed.
You lost it?
Drunk. Been there. 😂😂😂
In that rig you should be able to make it without ever touching that road 😅
True lol
Where is the next video of the k series swap?
Should be out by the end of this week
Should be out by the end of this week
the updated video is now uploaded, check it out! I'm sorry it took so long.
I didn’t see you do it but I’m sure you know already… when you put the rear shock bolts in the upper location, make sure you don’t get the fender liner between the hole and the bolt, or it will keep coming loose on you. Ask me how I know lol😂 I just took a razor blade and cut around it so it doesn’t get wedged between the two metal surfaces.
Also, get you some Metalcloak rear sway bar brackets, they will save you from breaking the welds off the frame if you flex too much.
Good advice, I think I had to redo it on one side. Definitely a good heads up
53 ÷2 =261/2
yeah I'm terrible at math lol.
Just picked up a 2003 tj rubi case and a the dana 44s I'm going to be slapping in my 99 XJ. Sounds like all I'll need is that novac cable kit and those adams yokes. Thanks for making this video you rock!
right on!
I'd like that on my jeep. That's one bad ass motor
Yes, I have a follow up video coming out soon
the updated video is now uploaded
2 sick builds! Cool to see them in action! They have all the trails open? They were working on some & had them closed off.
Nah, a few of them are still closed. They did open a new one, it’s not bad. It has some really good rock inclines
@@sixfeetunderfab Noice! 🤙
We need to take the Gladiators out there and hit the front side of Daniel. I also want to see the differences in flex between yours with a long arm front end versus my short arm and no drop brackets. Great video bud!
Yes! We definitely need to do that
What roof rack and bumper is that?
Roof rack is JCR Bumper is Flyin Iron Fab
been considering this swap
I have a follow up video coming out later this week
the updated video is now uploaded, check it out!
Cant tell if its a rc crawler or real truck
It's real. Check out his full vids
That car is sick
Thanks!
You've 110% inspired me to take the leap with my 86 grand wagoneer! Ordered the rack today and am frantically searching for the grommets to fill the holes from the oem roof rack! Did you put any silicone or anything under the grommets/seals to help ensure no leaks over time?
That is awesome! I’m glad to hear it. I didn’t use any silicone and I’m just gonna keep my eyes for any leaks. Thanks for watching!
If you could update this on a regular basis to let us know if it actually works that would be awesome.
yes!
You need steering geometry bracket's.that will make drive like stock.
I looked at those, they look great. But i decided to know another route. Stay tuned!
was this swap ever finished?
Not yet, I have follow up video about to come out
@@sixfeetunderfab alright
