  The bias against Elfman by The Society of Composers & Lyricists and the Academy of Motion Pictures is truly palpable. No Oscar... yet he has written some of the most moving, beautiful, imagery-supportive, and original music for films over 35 years. The Guild and Academy should be ashamed of themselves.
