I don’t know why but this hit deep right away and brought some pretty substantial tears to my eyes on that first few songs. I remember this vibe well but of course never knew the artists so thought it was lost to the sands of time. It just struck me to look for who deejayed at La Luna Queer Night. Voila!

I chanced upon the 12-inch while in a department store in Kobe in the summer of 1985. Initially, I preferred Sakamoto's relatively dry mix (TYO). And the b-side (a snippet of which appears in the music video), is still brilliant.

Hey Andy. Are you aware that someone named Samuel Alexandre has republished your track “Unconscious Familiar” under his own name, with no credit to you?

Hi. I think someone at the FL forums mentioned a few people who's tracks were in FL demos had people sell the tracks later as their own. Someone was going to contact the sellers to remove the offending tracks (or sick a lawyer on them) but I haven't looked into it much after that. Thanks for the headsup though.
I love the production of this. I ❤ Ryuichis avant garde music the best tho.... ✌️🙏💖. RI.P. Mr. Sakamoto

that sound in the intro...I know I heard it before.. Does the Chemical Brothers sampled it?
@ricardobenitez3013 Жыл бұрын
Don't think so... strangely, according to "whosampled" this song has not been sampled by anyone! I'm sure it has been, but nothing well known apparently. That intro sounds like a lot of more contemporary songs for sure.
