I have FISKARS nippers (wire cutters) that my wife used when she worked at a place that built circuit boards and they work great and I also have some that I bought at Walmart that come to a point Model 170 for $5.79 and a pair Dorman 90704 Micro wire cutter for $13.94 and they work just fine. I use the $5.79 more then the others.

I’m just getting back into modeling this year. While mini art makes some great sets. They are not meant for beginners! The panzer IV kit I just finished. Came missing pages that I had to find online. Then during assembly, ran into numerous issues with the build order as written. Very frustrating at first, but as another commenter said. They relocated from Eastern Ukraine to Poland due to “cough” reasons. All in all I’m going to start smaller for now. Though I’ll be stocking up on more of their products. If only to support the company.

As a new Modeller,I find that the issue of Air brushes is just a minefield. I tend to be a person who thinks that everything I build could have been built better. Perfection is almost unattainable. I have absolutely no idea as to which airbrush would suit me. And that is after looking at loads of vids on this subject.

I bought a GHAD-39 from amazon for $30. I took it apart, cleaned it, polished the needle and had a hell of a time with the Lever Guide placing it back. It took me almost an hour of frustration and I nearly threw it in the trash! The problem with Chinese things is their infernal cost cutting at all phases of manufacturing. They are really good at making something look good on the outside but the internals are made of tofu dregs (trash). It is a functional piece but an Iwata or H&S brush it is not due to lack of strict quality control. If i was Gaahleri, I would have them built someplace else.or buy a different brand.

That airbrush looks like the older model not the sj93. Look at the gold, in fact look at the picture on the box and look at the airbrush you're using.

in new to airbrushing and just bought one of these. Seems decent overall, I've only sprayed water through it so far to get used to it . . . but I have a problem. The nozzle piece remains stuck inside the nozzle cap for both 0.35 and 0.5 They will not come out of the nozzle cap. Any ideas how to separate them, which would be necessary for cleaning. Thanks for any advice

  • @landwand

Sounds like you have a flawed nozzle cap (pics or vid would help). Contact their customer service.

  • @WhiteDragon689

Get a hold of their customer service dept. Apparently there are quality problems that they will take care of easily. I bought a Moebius 0.2 for $65 from Gaahleri directly and during inspection the needle tip was bent. I e-mailed them and they sent a replacement needle. I can't believe that at their top tiered product line such an obvious defect was not caught. The Chinese are experts at cutting corners to save a yen. Just beware. If you get a functional piece, its not so bad for the price but its a show stopper. Gaahleri should get out of China and make them elsewhere.

Great review and thoughtful, insightful comments👍👍💜✌️😊 I use Harder and Steenbeck airbrushes, occasionally Paasche and Sparmax too. Ive been offered one of these airbrushes very cheaply priced. But even as a back up, or primer airbrush, would I be better off using that money towards an alloy 2024, Evolution or Infinity? That way I have quality primer, quality base coat, quality detailing and quality weathering with an airbrush for each phase. Most of my models, which are few and far between, are larger scale, and cost more, paint finish is VERY noticeable. Something to ponder🤔

I bought 2 different models of DSPIAE to compare, because they looked like similar (and they are, only accessories change), and there is the same issue with both of them: the blade stay stuck in the plastic it 90% of the time, despite it is fully cut. It requires forcing to release them, it's super annoying. A solution to prevent that is to push with the flat side before snipping, but's it does not working all the time. I don't want to use them anymore because of that, but that's the best ones I found to cut plastic...

My GHAD-39 did not come with such a fake test card. I would be insulted. Typical Chinese fakery and corner cutting to save a yen. But set your expectations right or bite the bullet and get an airbrush from Harder and Steenbeck Ultra 2024.

There is an adapter available to fit generic dremel shank sizes so buffing wheels, disc cutters etc can also be used, great little tool.

You should show what the different speeds are on plastic, slow up to fast speeds and how they grind. Please give the size of the shanks of the cutters / grinders, 1/8" inch or 7/32 " inch in Imperial size ( USA ) . If the tool can't be slowed down enough it will just melt the plastic or be too hard to control for fine work.

  • @DNModels
    @DNModels5 ай бұрын

It is very powerful, but no, it won't melt the plastic. The sizes that you might need are seen on the back of the cover, which you can check pausing the video. The rest hasn't been measured and even if it was, it wouldn't be in imperial size. Slowing it down will beat the purpose to some extent. That was the reason I mentioned the nail polisher. If you want slower and more gentle tool, that is your course of action.

That seems like a handy tool, but I have to say that I'm disappointed they didn't make it with a universal standard three-jaw chuck so that other size bits may be used. Thanks for taking the time to review it. 👍

Working on the Hobby Boss A6-E non TRAM right now. I’ll warn you that closing the boarding ladder doors will take some work to get it even. I had to buy aftermarket Multiple Ejector Racks, and I’m 3D printing Mk-82 Snake-eye bombs. The loadout shown is just what you can do with what’s included in the kit. There are bigger loadouts possible in real life.

Yes, the book is awesome, even though just as you, I cannot read it😆 But as the saying goes, A picture is worth a thousand words. Also, WWP ( Wing & Wheels Publications ) makes Su-25 Frogfoot "In Details", by the same author. Very good ALL in color photos of various plans, especially the Frog and the shark. But, the coolest thing are the up-close photos of all the various components of the plane. 179 pages and BEST of all, totally in English! Thank you for your quality video my friend! One more thing about the Frog, it is indeed at a museum, but displayed "outside", and the paint has really become faded.

Supposedly, I heard that trumpeter was going to come out with one. On scalemates they have this info about a future release ( 2023 ) "Su-25 Frogfoot-A Trumpeter | No. 05836 | 1:48". Perhaps Kitty Hawks? Anyway, thanks for your review. I purchased the Eduard version and already have 3 Zvezda. Still toying with getting the 1/32 Trumpeter kit too.

KH would have been full of rivets, full of weapons sprues and every open panel. But as for accuracy, that's not something KH has done well over the years. If there are two kits available on the market, except for their Su-34, I'd chose any other brand. Compare their MiG-25 vs ICMs, yes ICM still has problems but it's much better kit and model than KH by a mile. KH Yak-130 wheel well is a flat box compared to the Zvezda that modelled the right contours following intake, also KH intake rear section end in boxy flat surfaces, not to mention the landing gear leg actuator placement and geometry are pure fantasy and never able to retract and their decal was full or errors, all warning and walkways were for one side, they made wrong duplicates decal without correct shape for other side. Their last straw were their flanker family, accuracy was decent, but bad kit design and released at a higher price than GWH kit they tried to compete.

7:30 you truly are throwing the cheap airbrush knockoff under the bus into a totally unrealistic situation that you will have to deal with anyway with any airbrush. I fail to see the point other than the confirmation bias egotrip of you want it to be crap compared to your IWATA CM-C that you spent so much money on...
