    I found a good deal on a 2018 monster 821 and a monster 1200S but i’m not to sure which one (its my very first bike ever) and im up for the challenge, would you recommend?

  • @GettingthruLife
    @GettingthruLife20 сағат бұрын

    @AnthoAntho-t5k I would not recommend one of these as a first road worthy motorcycle. They a heavy, have a fairly wide turning radius, slow speed manuverability is not great, they run hot in 80 plus degree heat climate, and 1,200 monster has a ton of torque/acceleration and the 821 monster is not shabby either. Stick to bikes like CBR500, ninja300/400, Yamaha YZFR3/MT03/MT07, KTM390, Suzuki sv650. Buy one of these new/used ride for 1.5--2-3 years then buy into a bigger, higher hp/torque motorcycle. Also cheaper if you wreck it, lay it over and cheaper insurance. Get motorcycle lic. The monster is a good bike but the things I mention are easier overcome by more experienced riders except the engine heat for summer time. This is an ass whooping in traffic, also depends on where you live as how much traffic and bumper to bumper sitting you will be seeing.

    I'm still liking this fork. A good choice over the untuned Fastace fork. The 2024 KKE shock isn't the same circumstance I found out. It's a good shock but not nearly enough dampening adjustment with heavier spring 500-550lb.

    Much less work removing the battery from underneath than other models which have it under the gas tank. Mine was in storage for quite some time. Battery was dead so I changed it out. Luckily Mine wasn't locked out or anything. Other than taking a few cranks due to the old fuel that I couldn't pump out... she fired right up. Great Video!!! The only other video I've seen didn't even mention the 2 Grounds on the side of the bike. I could only imagine how many people damaged the electrical system.

This ducati definitely expanded my horizons and tested my patience. I hear ya on the short our the electrical system. Don't want that though I did a dumb move with my lithium/lead acid charger 5 months ago. I occasionally top of another lead acid battery so manually switch the charger to and from lead acid to/from lithium. I forgot to switch back. Not good. As far as I know I didn't harm my $200 Antigravity lipo battery.

    This blade is one of those blades, the physical look that looks comparable to more expensive knives. No blade play except very small blade flexing. It's just very well done and functions effortlessly. It's what I pick up now regularly because of ease of use, the feel, how well it opens/closes one handed and if it got dropped or last accidentally, its not a 200-300 dollars mistake. I started out buying 7-8 years ago the very inexpensive Kershaws because they were solid and robust knives with softer steel. Kershaw is a legit pocket/EDC knife company.

  • @GettingthruLife
    @GettingthruLife6 күн бұрын

    @torvarrisevans9334 Awd because with just 2 wheels pushing you it's like trying to accelerate in snow. It's not that this car has open differential because VDC and TC wirh ABS make rear wheels spin the same. The awd 3.0t's have open diffs front and rear. Awd with the infiniti/ nissan software just manages full power better with 2 extra tires. One of my only major complaints about rwd Q50 is there is little to nothing you can do to put the power down but just don't pish the gas pedal as much. If you buy a rwd 3.0t the first mod should be the softest UHP tire out. 275 E.T. Street R. If you have rwd 3.0t with great tires then you can beat an awd 3.0t with same mods or hp. Awd is a little heavier and more parasitic loss.

Tires now $400, 450 per tire. $1000 for 2 mount and balanced. Stupid expensive. With just a tune/cbe/aftermarket airboxes making 450whp. The kicker is making 500 plus torque. Big torque at low mph and low rpm spins the tires. Reason I just gave up after first few years increasing hp trying to go faster.

    You don't know much about this car so therefor you can't speak much about anything about this car. It has VDC/TC and 100% computer control for everything motor, turbo and part that moves on this car. As modern as it comes. I have 179 video on this car and only on this car. A few of those videos illustrate in detail how this car spins both tires the same 0-1mph, 2-5mph 7-10 mph... To prove you absolutely wrong about the tires not being 100% defeciency, I have videos with different tires and 0-60 times and data per draggy GPS. My 285 Toyo R888R street tires netted 2.85 to 2.91 sec 0-60mph while spinning most of 1st into 2nd and 1.83 60ft. on the street, no roll out. The Indy 500 tires, 275, at their best from over and over testing, best, very best once 4.9 sec but mostly in the range 5.0-5.1-5.2 sec 0-60mph and 2.2 to 2.3 sec 60 foot at the dragstrip mind you with roll out and a glue surface. As for your evidence, Let's see your 1980's or 1990's or early 2000's rwd 450whp Caprice dead hook, reved up from 0mph on video, on the street with the view of your Indy 500 tires seen. Then I'll consider even entertaining the idea this actually happens. Look up the definition of dead hook. No street tires dead hooks as such as a good drag radial or bias ply racing tire. Leave it to a Honda driver to claim, hoot and holler about budget minded Firestone Indy 500 tires. You are not the first and wont be the last, many with Honda in the channels name to make boasting comments and big claims.

  • @GettingthruLife
    @GettingthruLife7 күн бұрын

    @toonedhonda you had a dirty mouth so youtube on my channel doesn't accept that. 1.8 60ft is nothing compared to other street Q50-60s mine is slow. There's 50-60 plus people out running 1.4 -1.5 60ft and 2.5-2.6 0-60mph in their mildly setup 3.0t Q50 but they definitely aren't using Indy 500 tires. Not even awd Q50 that are more capable choose all 4 Indy 500 tires. When was the last time you saw a modern GTR with Indy 500's? If they did hook with a 440hp rwd car they'd be very sought after street tires. And you are right, they are not soft tires hence why they sucked 0-60. If I would have been able to feel the rubber before I bought them online, I would have known they wouldn't perform well. I listened to the Honda owners on the internet and made a poor buying decision. Make a video of your Chevrolet Caprice hooking up on a hard launch on the street and be sure to set the phone by the rear tires so I can see you clearly hooking up with you 255 Indy 500 tires.

    @AngeloB_91 if new nissan blue coolant turned green in same day or a week than that is odd. I have not had this happen so tough to know. HX and engine radiator coolant two separate compartments. You likely are aware but I just want to point out. Above state HX flush done but I'm not certain you mean HX and radiator. Changing the engine's coolant out and flushing out the old coolant, same fluid but to a degree more critical to keep engine coolant fresh and clean. Vehicles harder on the engine radiator coolant from what I feel. I tend to think 5 yrs is about the time coolant needs to be replaced to keep clean and fresh. Maybe also likely new brake fluid. rear diff fluid 40K and auto trans fluid 40K too.

However, the overall height of the handle is increased which may be a problem. I will probably look for smaller diameter rubber isolators to allow the handle to lower further when walking behind it.

Has to connect to multiple satellites across the sky. Stated in the limited directions. It's just a fact and how this device works. Otherwise your run times/data will not be accurate. If you don't care about accuracy, then that's up to you. That magnet is pretty good, I use to open my sunroof and gently stick it to my roof. Bluetooth communication from inside the vehicle easily reaches it. Note: even running underneath a bridge or bridges and even lots of trees along roads can throw off the accuracy.

The humidity in their area from when she was very young to now hasn't changed where the humidity has most likely increased just a tad as I have better substrate and moisture retention but that all started well before now and didn't have much of any effect as far as I have seen. All I know and through research, tegus, young and older, in nature eat a lot of insects because it's one of the most abundant food sources in nature and where Tegus hang out is prime real-estate for insects and dig into the ground (spiders, roaches, beetles, worms, larvae, and caterpillars. Tegus don't realistically feed on grass and leaves. Simple reasoning leads me to believe that Sassy genetic bloodline line comes from an area that had a lot of insects and due to her color, to blend in with her environment, she lived more in the area with dirt and rocks rather than in more lush plants, grass and vegetation. She's more of a digger than Mac my black and white is. She also has extremely sharp claws and Mac has dull, blunt claws. Whatever that means. • @GettingthruLife

    @austin0223 most likely your foot shift lever has been bent inwards. You can take it off the bike, the shift lever, put in a vise and pull the tip/front portion of shifter back outwards. Or you can buy a new foot shift lever. Note. I bought my bike pre-owned with just under 1000 miles. Looks like the first owner had a slow speed maneuver mishap and the bike tipped over at one point or while it was sitting still. (The slow speed manuverability of this style of bike is not great) My foot shifter is bent inward a little too but not enough to rub on the quickshifter. It's close but not touching. I noticed this fact only when installing my quickshifter. I think i remember bending my lever out just a bit too. There was some concrete scratch/scuff marks on the metal portion of the actual tip of the shifter pad where the rubber is. This is how I know it can happen.

    Cool, maybe I'm just absolutely nuts how I like things. I've become accustomed over the last 25 year to how all the controls can be customized/re-positioned on: motorcycles/mountain bikes/pistol grips and most of all car seats and steering columns. I do fully understand the rubber handlebar bumpers and I absolutely agree how they soften the handlebar up and vibrations. The bumpers with the personal pace mechanism makes for a comfortable and smooth mowing experience. I just see the Honda 217 model on videos and that handle with its three positions (big difference between low, med and high) and I'm like nice. When you go an look at these mowers first hand to see upclose, they are always displayed 9 feet off the ground on a display case. You cant usually inspect or touch. I just would have liked to have been more educated on these mowers choices because then I can make more informed buying decision. I like to touch and inspect 1st hand. The handle on this mower, the Max and Super Recycler isn't a end-all deal breaker, but if I could lower the personal pace portion of the handle down to around my belt line and use the rubber bumpers too, then this would be the absolute best setup and a near perfect mower choice.

    Appreciate you watching and commenting. Nice to hear from people as long as polite. Some show very little etiquette. I'm liking it but the handle is a little gripe. I guess what I was expecting was more of the Honda 217 handle design with its 3 actual, distinct height positions.

    I have a Toro Super Recycler with 190 cc engine and electric start. It also had the same handle arrangement as the Max. The bumpers are there to absorb bumps in the lawn. My lawn is very bumpy and this system tends to keep the handle level. In my opinion it works very well and I like it.

  • @GettingthruLife
    @GettingthruLife16 күн бұрын

    @stever100 I agree that the dampened feel downward along with the personal pace mechanism does feel smooth and softens jolts. The downside is ⁷ is limited adjustment. In comparison to its rival the Honda 217, that mowers handle has 3 adjustments from low, med and high. Honda's bar settings actually can be seen and felt and their handle bars don't twist and flop around. With the electric start you have, do you keep the battery on a trickle charger while it sits? How has the battery for the electric start lasted? I'm assuming it can't be left sitting for 5-6 months? I have an inverter generator with electric start by small battery and if it's not used regularly it's battery will ruin. Generators are usually used for storm/power outage backup. They can sit unused for a long time. I have to remove the battery, not easy, and keep charged.

    The Max mower runs smooth and has the best wheels.Rolled mine out of the garage to do the video on concrete and I turned around to go back into the garage and the mower started rolling away quickly on nearly level ground. Low low rolling resistance on the bearings. Just glides across the yard with the personal pace. It would just be perfect if the handle lowered down to the likes of the Honda 217 mower with three bar height positions and used the rubber bumpers which do smooth out the jolts/bumps.

    Pretty easy to change the oil out too. I will likely change mine every 2 years. Modern oils pretty good. In one of my first videos I demonstrated the 40 min break in oil change. I believe its a good idea/time because that's usually when parts in the motor seat together and metal flakes contaminate the oil.

    I will have my Toro 8 years this August. Model 20333. Almost always starts of the first pull. The gas station is nearby so I get 1.0 to 1.5 gallon of non ethanol gas each time. That way it doesn't get old for me. I use a full tank of gas when I mow the entire yard so it's close to empty. At the end of the season I let it run until it stops. Works for me. I changed oil and air filter today. Some folks do the oil change at the end of the season. That's good. I try to lubricate axles, cables, about anything that moves. Mine still has the original drive belt and blade belt (Spin stop model).

    @turtle522 very cool, yep take care of things like this and they last so much longer. One time I put fuel stabilizer in my mower fuel and after that it didn't run and idle right for the long time. After a long time it got better on its own. My 2010 Lawnboy Briggs and Stratton hadn't hadn't broken down. Just some replacement filters, a couple plugs and a blade when I bent it up on a tree root.

    I looked up tinney: "If you describe a sound as tinny, you mean that it has an irritating, high-pitched quality." I don't think I remember hearing any usually noises while mine was running. But definitely if you hear bad noises from the motor then you want a different one.

    it's not a fuckin' Harley, it's a Ducati. Ducati's are meant to running hot.

  • @GettingthruLife
    @GettingthruLife18 күн бұрын

    Fine if used in a more moderate climate such as the more typical European areas but if run in a hot climate, excessive heat isn't good so your answer is ignorantly stated. 220+ 230-240 degrees is not recommended normal by any manufacturer car or motorcycle. Experts agree between 195 degrees and 210 degrees is ideal but under 220 is acceptable. My Ducati routinely can hit 225ish and it will sit with the fans running at 217-220 in traffic. If the radiator fans weren't activated the bike would burn itself up. Running a overly hot engine is also extra hard and tough on engine oil where excessive heat produced by the engine will also kill your battery. Note: using foul or language or language abbreviations doesn't make your comment more impressive and its not appreciated.

    @MattHallJava After my factory equipped lead acid battery died within the 1st year I owned it due to we have very hot summers in conjunction with the battery right below the rear header. It gets cooked just like your legs. I went with the Antigravity brand. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B079TXKDSK?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title Way more reliability and more cranking power plus weighs 3x less. Also very good idea to buy a not expensive Lithium battery maintainer/charger. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06X9GGNZC?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_image
