Unless this supports unions. I'm a VET and can't stand union workers. Unions breed laziness. You will pay your hard earned money for union dues to watch a useless steward do everything they can to not work, and you will notice they always protect the useless workers that shouldn't have a job in the first place.

BULL-LONEY about "no one looking over your shoulder" . There IS no such job. True, there is no.one physically right there looking directly over your shoulder but you can bet your bottom dollar that there's a full schedule of work that must be performed every day completely..........or else, somebody's butt somewhere WILL ROLL.

I have a friend who is in an apprenticeship program like this one. Huge balls. Question: Why do insulators need to be replaced? I mean, there are no moving parts . . .

Overtime they fail. If they fail then the electricity can energize the structure and will cause a dead short. 1 it’s dangerous and 2 the power stops working.

I’d imagine it is beyond rated for the load and is tested/inspected everyday before use. They’re also tied off. Is it sketchy yes but the second you start second guessing shit is when you start shaking and messing things up. A big factor is to trust your equipment. Otherwise you’re in the wrong industry..

That pilot is amazing! Those Linemen are amazing. I think I'd prefer getting to the top of those poles via helicopter rather than climb, though the ride has got to be cold.
