  My son in primary 2.. has in his english book ( we say it is "in singular" for asking about how much are "in plural") !!! Is that correct please !!!???

  how much is = for asking about one item / and we use how much are = more than just one item .I guess they were refering to the exact word (much ) which used with uncountable nouns ex :It doesn't need much milk.
