6x4 is the body of work of an individual who chooses to remain anonymous behind the label. It is the expression of the aesthetic universe this individual wants to create and inhabit. Manifest into physical reality from the realm of ideas and intention through the making of simple functional objects, the philosophy of this universe is written in the visual and material attributes of the objects. For the creator this philosophy can be likened to the uncovering of an ancient buried city, exposed to them by each act of creation.
Our humanness is reflected in our objects and garments; to make tools and objects is an act that defines our species. The way we live with each other and with the earth is reflected in these artefacts of our survival, society and culture. These objects represent a way of living.

Cool (por needl)
Beautiful work. That has to be sandstone though, correct?
It's limestone salvaged from an old building that was demolished after the Christchurch earthquakes :) Very soft and easy to work.
❣❣❣❣
:)
Beautiful!
Thank you!
I love that this is finished on both sides. Thank you for introducing me to a new technique with historical meaning!❤
You are so welcome! Hope you're able to give it a try :)
Thank you :)
What type of fabric are you using, is it a linen / cotton?
It's Ramie, a plant fibre from the nettle family. It's naturally very stiff as shown :)
Nice sand stone psy-op bowl
Well, it makes your handstitches to look like flat felled sewing seams. Wow.
Thank you!
:)
Witam ❤ładna praca ❤serdecznie dziękuję i łączę pozdrowienia z Polski ❤
Brava!
Do you hav a template for the clogs
No, sorry! I just sort of made it up and didn't hold onto the patterns. They were pretty easy to make, just traced around my feet and added some height.
Absolutely stunning!!!
Thank you so much!!
👌💕
:)
Beautiful. 👌💕
Thank you :)
So just the glue holds the sole together? Beautiful work. Thank you. 👌💕
Thanks for your comment! Yes it's just wood glue that holds the soles together. It's very strong if used correctly, I've never had a glue join fail! As for the rubber outsoles, they are just attached with glue so they can be replaced when needed.
Sewing is a wonderful skill, I encourage you to try and learn! I didn't study sewing but I learnt from books, the internet, and lots of practice :)
Bellissimi.
Grazie! :)
hi, i want to buy this one can you show me where to buy it
Hello! I bought this in a second hand shop. You might be able to find one on ebay or another second hand sale platform.
Beautiful! So subtle and earthy!
Beautiful bowl. Does the limestone sound like a bell when you strike it?
New Zealand limestone is quite soft so it doesn't make much of a sound unfortunately, more of a stony thud!
I find it interesting how people connect to places in different ways. She has her interpretative dance, I scuba dive and explore the reef in the background.
hi can u post a longer and detailed video
Hello! I will try and make a more detailed video when I have some time. I just wanted to post this to show a bit of my process rather than demonstrate how to do it. There are lots of far more experienced darners on youtube that will have great videos until then!
Love the hat and dress, make another showing the progress
well done, very beautiful.
Thank you very much!
What’s the music? It’s beautiful (and a nice change from usual sewing tutorials ringtone style music)
Thank you! I made the music myself :)
What is the stone called!?
It's a folder that I made from deer antler. They are supposed to be longer and made from bone (Hera folder) but I only had antler available! They are used a lot in quilting.
I absolutely love this!
Thank you!
Bellissimi!Bravo!
Grazie!
Thank you so much for this wonderful video! The finished item is absolutely beautiful!
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Muy bello y simple. Gracias.
Hi how did you know how to cut each Ramie rectangle size, so that they all fitted seamlessly together? Did you use a template that told you what width and height each Ramie was?
I cut each piece as I go. I match the widths of the pieces I'm working on and the pattern slowly comes as I work. I don't plan how it's going to look from the start.
@@6x4online34 I believe that called "loghouse making" in quilting
So beautiful ❤️ Both the process and the end product... Amazing
Thank you so much!
Thanks for your comment. I didn't make this machine so I don't know how it works. It was made by Johnny Electric NZ so it would be best to ask him! johnnyelectric.co.nz/
Saludos
GREAT SKILL,AMAZING!!!
Thank you :)
Poderia pelo menos gravar algo mais agradável...
What is the marking tool you are using and where do you get it?
Traditionally it would have been a bone folder. I made this one out of a cross-section of deer antler because I didn't have any bone :)
Brava.
Jogakbo is literally a cloth made from pieces of cloth. It is said that in the old days when materials were scarce, cloth was also a very valuable material, and it is said that the leftover scraps of cloth were used to make furoshiki. It was often used to wrap quilts, wedding dresses, and wedding items. It is said that the tablecloth that covers the table is still well used. Various colors and patterns are mixed, and one of the crafts studied in Gyubang is to study this arrangement well to make it beautiful. It is the wisdom of life to use the leftover fabric from everyday life, so it was used by ordinary people. In fact, it is said that Jogakbo was never found among the royal objects.
Thank you for sharing this history! I think it's such a beautiful and valuable part of Korean culture.
And how do you draw the grooves perfectly? What do you use for that?
It's done on a record embossing lathe, developed and built by Johnny Electric: kzread.info/dron/kup25hwumaTjbQHkf_ZHLA.html
